GameStop sent me an email yesterday saying they were in stock. You might want to check and see if any in your area might have some as well.

Thanks for the information. That's a bit disappointing though. If you buy a game, it should have a full game on the cart. It looks like my Switch will have 32 GB on it. That should last me for another month so I can buy a card. Three games, a pro controller, a switch, screen protector, online service subscription, plus extended warranties on the switch and controller has me tapped out for this month.

Even if you need more memory at least with Switch it’s easy to add more memory by just getting a standard Micro SD card.

I've been hearing some really good stuff about this new Pper Mario clone called Bug Fables. It's a touch pricey at $24.99 but apparently very meaty with over 20 hours of gameplay.
The reviews have been very strong. This one done by a muppet is really detailed.
Just not sure if I should grab it now at full price or wait for a sale...

I finally got my Switch from Amazon. I have it set up and played a couple hours of Animal Crossing yesterday. I played in docked and handheld/kickstand mode. I'm really liking it so far. I am a little disappointed that they don't give you a free month of Switch Online for buying a $299.99 system. Playstation gave me a month of Playstation Plus free and a 20% off coupon to use on the Playstation Store. Nintendo only gives you one week of online service for free. Also, if anyone is interested in buy Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It's on sale at Best Buy for $44.99. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/fire-em...&skuId=6255374 Of course it goes on sale a week after I buy it...

I'm pretty sure you get a 7 day free trial if you just sign up on your switch:

Yes and no. $20 for a single gamer. $35 for a family which is closer to what Live and PS+ are (and roughly what everyone pays for Live and PS+, not $60).
I did find out you can switch between the two and they will prorate it which I did like as I signed up for me not knowing I couldn't let other users on the same console play online. So if you're looking at more than one user in your house lwhy, then go for the family plan.

If you have Twitch Prime, I think you can still get a year of Switch Online for free. I saw something recently saying this is still active.

That link says that the deal expired (if you didn't claim by September of last year or use it by January) and I can't find it on my twitch prime page (I didn't use it because at the time it wouldn't upgrade to a family account)

I may start Fire Emblem: Three Houses this week. Has anyone played it? If so, should I go ahead and buy the DLC for my first playthrough or wait until my second playthrough? I think I'm going to go with Blue Lions for my first playthrough and Black Eagles for my second playthough.

Everything that I have read says the second playthrough goes by much quicker. Some are completing their second run in 40 hours or less. You get to keep some of your stats and inventory from the first playthrough. Which house did you pick?

Nintendo Sold 4.2 Million Switch Consoles In March Alone - Nintendo Life
No wonder there’s a shortage.
20+% of total sales in North America in a single month... wow!
Back in May, we got our hands on Nintendo's latest fiscal year earnings report, revealing that the lifetime sales total for Switch hardware had reached 55.77 million as of 31st March 2020. In that year, from 1st April 2019 to the end of March 2020, Nintendo managed to shift 21.03 million units.
At the time, we suspected that the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the global coronavirus pandemic may have given Nintendo a significant boost in that last month, possibly helping to nudge the console's sales a little further than we would have previously anticipated. Now, thanks to a new report from GoldenCasinoNews, we can see exactly how it all went down.
According to the report, 4.2 million of those 21.03 million sales came in March alone, meaning that March accounted for almost a fifth of that entire year's hardware sales. You'd usually expect to see stats like this over the holiday season, but not during a relatively average month in the calendar year.
The report also breaks down Nintendo Switch hardware sales by region, revealing that North America has so far generated the majority of console sales (20.61 million units sold as of May 2020), with Europe and Japan next in line with 14.3 million and 13.4 million, respectively.

Had my second Joy Con start drifting on me today. Just started but I can’t even select a menu item anymore. If you try to scroll down, you will pass whatever selection you intended. Will do another return now. Since both mine were Left ones, I would guess it is a flaw that comes with continued use.

Do the electrical contact "fix" if you can't send in the joycons right away for replacement.
There is an absolutely massive Switch eshop sale that just dropped right now. I forget who was looking for Mario Tennis but that's on sale right now, along with a ton of games that have never seen sales before.

Pretty huge sale going on right now for Switch games, mostly the regulars that have been going on sale (Mario Tennis, New Super Mario, Mario Party, etc), but lots to choose from, keep scrolling down for more deals.
