anybody else feel a little disappointed with upcoming ps4 games?
 
I'll probably get schooled for posting this and given a ton of evidence to the contrary but is it just me or does it seem like a big majority of upcoming games are ALL in the horror/survival genre?.

I feel like we have yet to see anything truly different or unique it feels like theres not as much variety out there for PS4 and were already 3 years past launch especially compared to PS3. Even sports games are lacking Golf, Tennis.

I mean yeah we've had the big franchise blockbusters but the library still feels too thin. Am I just impatient, or are we having to wait longer because of the expectations we have on game companies to produce a stellar product?

What? BULLSHIT.

But no seriously, I got nothing. I think both consoles kind of have a lackluster line-up right now. I love my dark and gloomy PS4 games, especially Bloodborne and Doom, but know that stuff isn't for everybody.

I'm not sure. Seems like there's a decent variety of games to me.

Did you miss E3? Their entire conference was game after game after game. It was glorious. Of course they're not all coming this year, but it was a helluva thing.

Well, we are definitely seeing a shift in development resources. There are alot less AAA titles this generation and those that are around are parts of already established series'. Many people want "killer apps" and there really haven't been any this console cycle......yet.

I think that this is really counterbalanced by alot of the exciting things going on in the indie space. But that's just imho.

There is a ton of game variety on PS4. What are you talking about?

There is some good stuff coming; it's just come summer it's not lot of coverage as say right before Fall which tend to be the flood of games before the holiday season. Plus some that were coming out got delayed and pushed back till late this year or first quarter. We'll be fine and there is still some good stuff to play.

As far as exclusives go, there's not much I care about on the PS4 in the near future until maybe Horizon Zero Dawn next year.
