Marvel Heroes Omega goes into a closed Beta on Friday on PS4, you can get in by buying one of their founders packs (which will carry over into the actual game when it goes live), which presumably will be available Friday as well.

Anyone actually own and play Ultimate Alliance for the One? I bought it (despite my earlier objections) during the sale, and the input lag is terrible, like I'll press A and it won't register as a strike. Also during the first boss battle the characters were knocked back and literally floating in the air. Maybe I was just a lot more forgiving years ago or something.

Yeah, a F2P one, though, but definitely a loot based game like diablo. The packs to even get into the beta are way more expensive than I had anticipated (though in line with the PC version), so I haven't bit yet. You can basically pay 20 bucks to unlock either Deadpool or Spider-Man plus one costume, or 60 bucks for six heroes from either the Avengers or XMen pack plus one costume each. There's an intermediate Guardians one as well.

Man I hate F2P.

There's also a $17 War Machine that is exclusive to PS Plus.

And hey, if you buy them all (for a mere $147), you get Iron Fist for FREE!

I think you have to buy like $200 to get Iron Fist and Symbiote Spider-man. 2x60 packs (Avengers and X-Men), 2x20 packs (Spidey and Deadpool, 1x40 (Guardians of the Galaxy). The War Machine one is, I think, optional.

That's crazy. Like if you tried that with DLC for a normal game you'd be endlessly ridiculed.

I bought War Machine to play the Closed Beta.
It's pretty fun. Not unlike MUA. The price structure seems a little obnoxious, but if I really dig it, I might buy the Avengers or X-Men bundle once it goes on sale.

I was given a beta code earlier in the week, and decided to buy the Spider-Man pack after playing for a bit. I will say today's patch made it much smoother.

After getting burnt out on Marvel Heroes Omega rather quickly, I decided to fire up Marvel Ultimate Alliance and it's pretty damn fun. It runs smoothly and looks pretty good. I also forgot how many characters you could pick from, so it should be fun playing everyone throughout the game. The kids enjoy watching it too.

Wish there was two player couch co-op. It's in Marvel Heroes Omega and really should have been here as well. But of course this is a straight up port so no gameplay improvements

Is there? I wasn't able to launch it when I tried -- only was showing online options. Maybe I did something wrong.
