Mega Man 2 and Mega Man X 30th Anniversary Cartridge Re-Releases

Saw these on Facebook coming from Capcom and Iam8bit. Kinda cool and limited to 8,500 each but $100 a pop. Plus who knows if they’re potentially fire hazards like the Street Fighter II cart put out a while back.

One of my biggest regrets was selling my mint in box copies of MM1-3. I got about $350 total for them, which funded my Gamecube launch purchases.

Now that they're long gone, not sure I'd buy something like this. It's pretty cool though.

Yeah, I would guess Capcom just whored out the rights and there is no guarantee of quality construction with the carts. I'd stay far away.

It's the same company (iam8bit), and likely the same issue persists (something about 3.3V hardware in the carts vs 5V hardware in the console, or vice versa), so yeah... the potential is still there... even if it never ends up happening.

Still... pass.

The thing is if these were less I’d consider them but $100 just for some re-released cartridges in special colored shells that may or may not pose a fire hazard or could damage my console they aren’t worth it. Especially considering that the original cartridges can be had for a lot less loose.
