I did it with my SNES and it was easy-peasy. I don't have as much of a fondness for old NES games so I might not bother but it's super slick.

So in the display options screen, there's 4x3 and pixel perfect, and I can't see a big difference in the two. Would they affect game play? Like if your muscle memory is that precise, will it throw it off?

It's purely visual. If you can't see a difference, just leave 4x3 as that's how it would have looked back in the day.

Gamestop has preorders up as well. I have been seeing tons of SNES the past month or so. I guess Nintendo decided to get with it finally?

I figured you'd find something to still complain about.

How bad do you want it? If no store near you carries it, just suck it up and pay for the shipping. What’s the big deal? If you don’t want it that bad, then move on.

I’ve played this more than the SNES, maybe because I never had an SNES but I think the simplicity of the games makes it easier to play; you’re not committing much to it.

Do wish it had the rewind feature the SNES had.

I did the pre-order

I can live with the shipping fee when the other option is paying $100+ at Ebay.

That gamestop link was the first online site in 3 years where you could buy it at the manufacturers suggested price.

For those collectors out there someone found some differences in the boxes.

Do you mean box collector's, or this there another (more significant) difference in the console itself, or what's included in the box?

My local Wal-Mart had 5 in-stock this morning. Not a great week for me financially, so I had to pass for the time being.

The only difference is the addition of the ratings symbol. No actual content is differnt.

No, I was just referring to the difference in the boxes for all the hardcore collectors out there.

Okay cool! I still have my original one unopened, so I wanted to see if it was better/worse than the newer release. Thanks for the info!

The 2016 box is better without the rating.

Game has a pre-order for 7/13 and another link where you can buy it now?

It's not really a pre-order, but a "Ships by 7/13" order:
https://www.gamestop.com/nes/console...by-7-13/165699

They likely have an order for more in with Nintendo, and Nintendo has told them to expect that order by 7/13. It's probably on a boat or something.

The regular "Buy it now" one is just whatever stock they currently have.

I ended up seeing it again at 2 other Wal-Marts and decided it was a sign to just pick it up already. Glad I managed to find it in the wild.
