Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

Huh, just googled. Never seen that before.

This came up in the search which is unrelated but pretty sexy:

The 80 is very misleading but it has probably the best games of the console:

Altered Beast
Ecco
Sonic (5 of them)
Shinobi III
Streets of Rage I,III
Columns
Comic Zone
Golden Axe

Outside of maybe a handful those would be the ones I would play. The NES is the same way, it's missing a bunch, including Contra.

Even now if a person was to buy thirty games on Virtual Console this is a better deal. They're like $5 each so $150. Considering this has many of the big titles I think it's worth it if you're a fan.

That was a great game. That's the main issue I have is that I wish it had more games or at least all the ones currently available on Virtual Console (though I'm not sure Kung Fu is on that either).

I'll be asking for this for my birthday in late November or for Christmas. I'm 32 and have been geeking out over this.

I'll get one for sure, it is haven't used a regular NES controller since 1987. That was the year I got the NES Advantage joystick and never looked back.

Yeah that was one of my favorite NES games and probably one of the only games I've ever beat. Surprised it wasn't in the 30. Thought it was one of their more popular games back then.

It's kinda of a bummer that this system is using the Wii plugs. It'd be nice to be able to break out the old controllers.

It's kind of cool that they're remaking the old controllers too. Mine still work but some of the buttons have to be hit pretty hard to register. I tried taking them apart to clean them but a couple screws are stuck in place.

It's bluetooth and looks like it's only for mobile (iOS, Android) and Windows & Mac. You can check it out here.

I'll buy it if the controller is halfway decent. I have a Pi setup with pretty much all the NES games already and either the games work perfectly or are virtually unplayable because of how awful the D-pads are on the NES controller knockoffs. A game that requires crouching? Forget it.

I also have a Pi set up for emulation. For what it's worth, the Wii Classic Controller (original) is perfect for playing NES games on it if you can find one. You also need an adapter similar to this one.

I'm definitely pre-ordering. I'm getting a 'hot item' vibe from this for Christmas.

How many games does it come with?

What potential? The Virtual Console never became what we all wanted it to be, why would a $60 throwback console suddenly make the VC more attractive? By that same token, Nintendo has sales figures of VC games. It's probably not worth the effort to support the VC for a few meager sales.

It was silly in 2005 for the Classic Controller as well. Classic Nintendo, get a product close to being great but stumbling at the finish line.
So do I. I have a feeling if you see one of these in stores once it's released, you better grab it while you can.

I'm hoping a 3rd party make a wireless controller or wireless option for this. A receiver could be plugged into the NES itself to get the inputs. Having it wired as default does go with the nostalgia factor, but i'm sure not many of us have components or consoles that have wired remotes in 2016 especially playing in larger screens.

Yeah definitely will be a hot item for the holidays this year I think too. The price is right, it's got an attractive vibe with the retro look of the system and packaging, good selection of games, and it's appealing to people's nostalgia. It'll definitely rope in casual gamers who will see it and think I remember this.

They didn't even need to make it that big - it could've just as easily be a controller that plugs into your TV. The "console" is solely for the sake of nostalgia/sentimentality.
