Yeah. The original release came with two controllers so I just figured this one would too.

Watching videos on this, one mentioned the Retro Bit Generations that is coming out thursday.

Now I'm torn as that one has 100 games and is more arcade.

Okay, I didn't even know about this Retro Bit machine! That is the console I am all over, since, unlike the NES games, I really haven't had a chance to replay most of those games since they were new in the arcades. Hope it has dip switches for all the games!

For those who hate the short cable cords, here is a solution

Nyko will release this wireless controller for $19.99. This will allow you to sit 30 feet away from your t.v. It even has a power button, but I'm not sure if it also works as a reset button if you tap it.

Can anyone point me to reviews for the Retro Bit Generations machine? Yes, I already googled, and couldn't find any. I'm really interested in it!

The only thing I've found is articles on the original announcement and then games. I only discovered the console a few days ago while watching a GiantBomb video covering the NES Classic and Generations was mentioned for a minute with the arcade aspect being what caught my attention originally. I'm hoping reviews start popping up since it's supposed to release today.

I'll probably try and hop on Amazon to order, although I imagine it will be a cluster fuck. If I lose out, no biggie.

I will try Target because they open early. If no dice, then I hit up BB. Figure odds are better at Target since that is more low key.

Toys R Us might be a good bet too, since this is being marketed as more of a "toy" rather than a dedicated game console.

Re: NES Classic Edition (30 games; 60 bucks; 11/11/2016)

My friend and I went out to Walmart earlier to see if there was anyone waiting which there wasn't so I figured I'd go back a bit before midnight to snag one but no go. He got there before me and said they only had six and there were more people than that there for it. Guess I'll be waiting more than likely for the second batch.

My local targets, one had 2 and one didn't get any. Stopped by gamestop on the way home,I'm the only person here and they have 9 so I'll hang around and snag one.

$319 from resellers on Amazon

I'll hop on at 2pm and try to grab one. If it works, great, if not, I'm not going to lose any sleep.

Oh, and for those hunting at Target, brickseek is your friend. A couple near me have 15 units each.

Better get there early my friend. I got there at 7:25 for an 8am opening, and was 17th in line for 15 units. It's obvious that store staff bought some because there were 18 listed online. I heard from others that there were similar lines at other Targets and WMs in the area.

As others said, I'm not crazy about this. I'll get one eventually. I actually hooked up my old Generation Nex and got out my games and have been enjoying them.

What did happen though is that my 4 year old who was with me conned me into buying her a $50 Troll doll. Which she played with for 10 minutes, lol.

No dice. People lined up since 5 am.

I thought for sure my quiet little suburb wouldn't even give a shit about this. Amazing.

There is no line at Best Buy but I'm not going to wait over 2 hours to get this thing.

The person in front of my line told me he got there just before 5am. He also said he was going to buy five of them but the Target guy said one per customer.

Oh, and I feel bad for #16 in line. One of the people waiting in line just wanted one of the two Hatchables the Target had. But she said "what's all this commotion about" and then told the guy at the register "might as well buy one of those NES thingies too."

I'm confident I will have one. The guy at the store told me that between the 7 Targets in my area they have 3,000 on order. He also said they may be getting in some more next week.

You know what the real shit of this whole thing is? The princess is in another castle!

on one hand, it's infuriating that Nintendo always pulls this shit with in-demand products, on the other hand, i can't blame them for creating artificial hype for their products, as it creates a frenzy for these things.

No luck in Chicagoland. Most Targets have <10 and alot of stores are already on holiday hours. Good ole' Nintendo supply-chain's at work.
