Theoretically you could do it in one if you found 20 different gyms at once that you leave a pokemon at and then just cash out. Even if you just do one per day, at 10 coins per pokemon left, that is only 20 days. Or is there some limit of how many you can leave at once?
Sorry, it was supposed to be 30 days if you only collect 10 coins a day. The backpacks are only 200 coins? I thought they were 300 lol

So only 20 days if 10 coins a day. I need to find an area with multiple gyms close to each other. I found an area with 4 within ~5 minute drive of each other. Maybe if I go take them over at like 4AM before work lol

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

I went to a hot pokemon spot last night (rose garden area of Capitol park) and it was crazy. 50-100 people standing around playing. There were 4 stops each with lures. 1-3 pokemon would appear about every minute. I would over hear someone mention a pokemon and then it would appear on my game moments later.

I ran the first half and didn't see anyone playing, but I was in an advanced group.

But there was one lure at the finish line, of the first half, it was probably set by the people waiting.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

Used my first lucky egg and was able to evolve 64 Pokemon in the 30 minutes.

Jumped 3 levels and now at lvl 20.

I increased some of my Pokemon CP to the limit so i think I'm ready to take on some Gyms.

You get 6 pokemon to battle the gym with. Just stock up on potions.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

Little confused here. I fought a level 3 gym yesterday of an opposing team. I beat tall three guys but when all was done I didn't appear at the top and the top guy was still there but the other 2 gone. Shouldn't I be holding the gym?

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

You have to fight it a few more times until you knock it all the way down. Then you can leave a Pokemon there to take it over.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

I have left really strong characters at a few different gyms, but I've found the turnover around here is just too great to collect any coins from it.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

I usually just leave one somewhere and cash it in right away because it's hard finding multiple gyms with open spots around here. And like you said, they get removed pretty quickly.

Do you have a data plan on your tablet or just wi-fi? If you don't have a constant internet connection, it won't work.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

I loaded up pokemon go while I was at the zoo on Saturday and they must have had at least 30-40 pokestops and 3 gyms. There was also a gyarados on my nearby pokemon list but it was pointless looking for it since there is no way to track anything. Just walk around pointlessly in all directions hoping you run into it.

I did see a funny sign that said "there are no pokestops past this point" on a gate leading into an employee area.

Tracking info seems to have changed .. I'm seeing grass images with the pokemon, and the header now says "sightings"

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

This update seems to have improved things a little bit. Pokemon seem to be easier to capture, and more abundant (at least where I was at last night). Variety seems to be a little bit better in the neighborhood as well.

The big change though, is the new tracking system that's been rolled out to a select few (looks like mostly San Francisco). It will show you the specific PokeStop a monster is near, and you can also track that particular pokemon on the map with a beacon. Can't wait for it to get unlocked for the general public.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

That sounds like a big improvement, Shagrath. I'll be happy to try that out when it gets rolled out to more people.

The new driving warning is really getting on my nerves. It comes on multiple times in a trip no matter how many times you say you're a passenger. Plus, I'm even getting the "you're going too fast" message while my phone is sitting motionless next to me at my desk. I realize they want to cover their butts with a message like that, but it's very annoying.

Sounds like you need to slow down at work. I'm sure your boss would approve.

I don't know if it's just me, but the game seems to be back to having an absurd amount of escapes and running away. It was fine after one of the previous updates.

I'm noticing more of it. More frustrating though is having low level Pokemon (as low as 10CP Ratatta and Pidgey) continually break out. I've used as many as 6 Pokeballs to catch them, yet been bagging 300CP+ Pokemon on one try. Weird.

Not sure how this new tracking update is supposed to work, but I've been having more "new" (uncaught, greyed out, whatever) Pokemon showing up on the small tracker, but can't find them.

Re: Pokemon GO (IOS/Android)

My stats:

Start date: 7/19/16
Team: Mystic
Caught: 58
Seen: 59
Level: 15 (just happened!)

My top CPs are
Flareon 947
Jolteon 733
Pinsir 697
Pideot 667
Tangela 659 (caught today)
Venomoth 610

Rarest: Not sure as I was never into Pokemon before this. Maybe Rhyhorn? (Hatched)

I haven't gotten the hang of the combat system. I've taken a few gyms, but have never held one more than a few hours (usually it is a matter of minutes). Has anybody actually held one long enough to get anything for it?
