I checked and couldn't find a thread. We finally have a release date! It's been a bumpy ride, but I'm still pretty stoked. Shadow of the Colossus is on my top 10 games of all time, so this has a lot to live up to.

I liked Shadow of the Colossus but I loved ICO.

I'm sure it'll be a great game but... great enough to warrant this whole time in development? Shit. Are the graphics even up to par w/ the average of today? Little things like that bug me... but I trust that it'll be a quality game...

I'm actually more interested in the story of the games delay than the game itself. Still, fingers crossed its awesome.

I think the window closed a long time ago on any chance of that. I think it will be pretty much on par with the other 2, but no way it can live up to all the delays.

It's impossible at this point for this game to live up to the hype since it's been in development for so long. But for me, as long as it's even half as good as Shadow of the Colossus, then I'll be happy.

I'm still pretty stoked for this. Amazon had the CE up for pre-order on Friday for a little bit, so I put an order in before it sold out again. SOTC is one of my favorite games of all time, so hopefully this one delivers.

The press has copies so there should be all types of leaks anytime now (length, impressions, etc).

The vinyl is coming from iam8bit, and is up for preorder, payment upfront, with a release date of "Q1 2017."
That said, they're notorious for delays and refusing to cancel orders. I honestly wouldn't expect it to actually ship until July or August, based on their history. They haven't listed this as 'limited' so I'd suggest waiting until they've got a firm date before giving them my money.

Ahhhhh, interesting. Sound advice that I shall follow! Since you have experience with them, do you think it will come with a download code for the vinyl, or am I going to have to purchase that anyway from iTunes? If so, I will buy that and it will tide me over till the vinyl's release.

^ iam8bit would specifically mention in their listings if download codes are included. In this case, there's no mention of it, so definitely not. You're safe to buy it on iTunes.
I mean... they very well could include a download code at the last minute, as a perk for the inevitable delays... but I don't think they've ever actually done that, so I highly doubt it.

Is that really it?? 21 minutes of music? I thought this game would have much more than that. The vinyl is supposed to be 2 LPs, so there's got to be more. Why such a shitty offering with the game's box set?

Yea man, that's what I saw. To me, that CE aint worth the cash for stuff I'm gonna have lying around. Especially for $50 extra. I just cancelled it and will get the standard edition. Rather use the savings towards the $35 record and hopefully $10 iTunes
