^ Since most single DLC fighting characters are $7 these days, getting four for $10 doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

So first off, the switch port is not coming, is it? I haven't heard anything.
I've been replaying this and the first game with my young son. He recently found the Injustice arcade game and loved it, mainly because it gave out trading cards every time you put money into the machine (which makes those cards pretty expensive, but I digress). I'm like, I have that game at home and the sequel and it's way better.
It's weird, but playing the first game again in a post MoS world made me appreciate it more. I realize MoS came out the same year, a few months after the game, but now there's a whole cinematic universe around that version of Superman. It really made the finale of the first game, where "our" Superman goes to the other universe to fight "their" Superman, really stand out. First thing he does is tell Batman that "this is going to be tricky" and that he has to make sure to "take the fight far away." Then he dispatches like all the bad guys. My son loved it, but man I was moved. And he wasn't even that frightened when "bad" Superman started killing people, because he knew justice was coming.
It's weird that a video game that glorifies over the top violence and has it's roots in a game based on over the top killing moves got the superheroes (IMHO) so right. I mean superheroes being against killing is kind of ridiculous. They even reference this in the second game when Batman pummels a guy and robin says "oh, it's not ok to kill them but it's ok to cripple them" or something to that affect. But the whole premise of the story is that killing someone destroyed Superman's persona, sending him down this slippery slope where he felt the need to take over, and the "good guys" steadfastly refused to even contemplate it. It's old school comic book stuff (speaking of which, the actual comic book is great as well) but I'd love to see a JL movie that had stuff like that.

Doesn’t seem like it will. One of the people behind the series mentioned possibly bringing it to Switch last year in an interview but nothing happened afterwards. Maybe if there’s a third game it’ll release for Switch. I’ve been holding off on buying but might finally grab it for my One instead.

Thinking about it more, the lack of a great d-pad (even on the pro controller) would make this difficult for me to buy on a switch, especially with the MK-esque control scheme.

I keep hoping Nintendo will eventually release a set of Joy Cons with a true d-pad. I think the one on the Pro Controller is decent but could be better.
