Played my first game tonight as the LA Rams. Played 6 minute quarters on Pro level and beat the Redskins 18-0. Picked off Cousins 2 times and sacked him 3 times.
As evidenced by the score, having trouble kicking field goals. Keeps going wide right.

My first Madden since 2009, but I'm pretty much a total Rookie. Maybe I need to go through them repeatedly, but some of the tutorials are pretty unhelpful. They go over a new concept and then tell you go to the Hot Zone. Then I do so, without really learning what that specific tutorial was trying to convey. Maybe I just need pre-tutorial lessons. 
Also, does anybody have any resources for learning play calling? I don't want to rely on the automatic stuff, and would like to study up on different strategies.

If anybody is interested, a group of us DVD talkers will be starting a Madden 17 Connected Franchise league on the PS4 in the next couple weeks. We've been doing these leagues for the past 5 or so years, it's a good group of ball busters. Feel free to join us, we always welcome more human opponents. This will be the Connected Franchise - Owner mode, you will have complete control over the team. We don't play with the teams current roster, instead we put all of the players into a draft and you get to select your team. The time commitment is one game a week, but we tend to play faster than that. All skill levels welcomed. Come join us.

I can't stand Madden... Im still holding out hope Sega comes back eventually with the 2k series.

how long was the contract EA signed with the NFL? I gotta look that shit up... I think it was the smartest move they could've done because Madden sucked compared to 2k series. =)

Yeah I'm sure they wished the NBA would have followed suit, considering how abysmal their Live franchise is.
