Re: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (11/15/2019: PC, PS4, XB1)

someone please help...i'm trying to free the wookies on Kashyyyk or whatever. freed them, they rejoiced with the rebels, i said bet Saw is upahead and have no idea where to go next or what the hell to do. thing is, i did this already and i don't know why it didn't save or i was brought back bc i saw and did this already. i'm just really lost what to do next. i mean i thought that was it, i freed them, but objective is still "Free the Wookies"...

anyone know where i am and had a similar hiccup?

That's the end of the game. Time to trade-in.

But you said you ended up having more fun with game dropping difficulty. Past tense.

I freed the wookies, but can’t figure out how to get the fuck out of there now. I just keep going round and round through the whole level looking for some path I must have missed. Good times.

Couple questions for those who have finished (or are very close)
Spoiler:
I ran into a boss on my way off a planet who, when killed me (i wasn't prepared, had 1 stim pack and the arena got blocked off when I went in) had me end up in the gladiator tournament thing. First off, awesome music! 2nd, what would have happened if I had killed him? Was that whole thing side story or is it unavoidable?

Also, what's up with the mercs who I run into randomly? They come up like they're a boss fight but I keep running into different ones.

A couple posts up I mentioned the annoying lifts that are hard to tell that they're even lifts. IIRC, that's what you're looking for. You gotta overcharge a station you can get to after freeing which will give power to a lift you've seen before.

That's somebody else. I've always been on the easiest setting. I'm super casual.

After it was over, I stayed there for a bit before hopping on the ship so I could listen to the music a bit longer and to let the spectators bask in my Jedi glory. I was hoping to be able to go back there but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Cool, thanks for confirming. Do you know if it's optional or part of the main story? I thought I was in a secret area when I happened upon the robot.

Re: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (11/15/2019: PC, PS4, XB1)

that Kashyyyk level was thee most frustrating i've played in a long time. freed the wookies 3 times, somehow, before i figured out what to do and get the hell out of there and back to Zeffo. sheesh...

I do still love playing this game, but some of these inane traversals of areas can be maddening. Figuring where and how to get someplace. I’ll go around in circles 7x before I figure what to do or just go follow YouTube videos. And I’m not lowering difficulty. I’m sure that’s only enemies anyway and there’s really not so many thus far. And I’m on normal, so only one level above easiest. I rarely die from enemies, just falling off something. Enemies it’s pretty basic. Parry or block and then strike. See red, parry. Use a little force push, maybe force slow and that’s it for every type (animals and droids and troopers) thus far...

But really do love the environments and true SW look and feel and play style. The saber weapon, though don’t think a blaster would have been the worst idea. But we did get a very good game and that it’s a Star Wars game makes it that much better.

It is scripted to feel random. They do a good job of making it feel organic.

Found it, thanks. Had no idea that spot was a lift.

Some of these traversals are so frustrating.

Re: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (11/15/2019: PC, PS4, XB1)

I played some more. Dropped it to easy and went back to Planet 2. It's a lot more fun now.

Overall it's a good game but since it's so similar to the latest Tomb Raider(which is the last game I most recently played) it just can't compare. Eidos has perfected the genre and TR has a level of polish this game just doesn't have. Lara has a flow and fluidity about her and the environment. You can run, jump grab a vine swing to a wall to climb with her axes, hop off to a hanging bar, swing and dismount into a drop & roll and be on your way and just feel like a badass. Cal kinda bumbles along. I fall off cliffs. If I don't slide down an icy path just right and hop to grab a rope, I'm falling to my death (multiple times). Wall running works pretty well but I miss Lara's "scramble" up a wall (kinda like a double jump) and her tuck and roll vs. Cal's... foot shuffle? That's a weird one.

So you'll wait hours or days for a reply. Makes sense.
