I’m liking this so far but it’s not blowing my socks off. I’m less than two hours in though.
I wish the combat buttons were mapped to the shoulder buttons like Dark Souls. I think I can remap them, and might give that a try.
Someone posted earlier that the game turns into less of an Uncharted clone later on, which is great news. There are definitely times where it feels like the game is playing itself (big set piece moments, platforming, wall running), which is what Uncharted does too, and I hate it.

About 5 hours in and still on the fence. Combat isn't clicking with me at all. Never did get around to changing the controller layout but I think that's the only thing that'll help at this point.
I'm still on my first planet (after the starting area), and it's really impressive how much the areas open up. This planet feels really big to me, and I hope the other ones are similarly sized.

Just made it to the first planet. One complaint I do have is how far off the lip synching is. How do you not even try to match up the lip movement and dialogue in such a high profile game?

Changed up the controls to more Souls style, and it’s made a world of difference. Definitely feeling this game a whole lot more now.

Played through the opening sequence just a bit ago. Liking the game a lot so far in the short time I’ve played it. I have to give it to EA for doing a completely dedicated single player game without throwing in any multiplayer. Definitely a rarity. Would love more games like this.

yes, the opening moments have been stellar. too bad only lightsaber and no blaster action, but i love the parkour and Prince of Persia type stuff. i haven't played a good 3rd person since Assassin's Creed: Odyssey some time ago...

I definitely am getting Uncharted vibes. Having to work around ledges, big jumps, swinging on ropes/cables or jumping to dangling pieces. Fun action so far.

it might have been and i missed it, but why can't you get back on ship? i went back to try to see if workbench, but no way to get in. i did eventually find one not too far away and orange it went. don't know why, may go back to blue as the orange really isn't lore and kinda unnatural for the series...

But, this game is a hellava lot of fun. Not so much fighting yet, but I’m sure that’s to come. More adventure, exploring in beginning, learning new abilities, I guess...

The Ogdo Bogdo creatures on the first planet are so frustrating. I was able to beat one of them but there’s one that’s in a cave that must be a boss and tough as crap to beat. He kills me in like two or three hits and is hard to get damage in on. The best way to take away a bunch of his health is to jump down on him from above (you can run along the wall and get up top), but even then it’s still hard.

i guess i have warmed to the fact that combat is strictly melee, but with the Force, of course. i just love the exploring, finding echos, crates, and the story is pretty captivating. the voice actors are pretty good. Cal emotes well. this is a nice blend of 3rd person action platforming games that i always loved growing up (Prince of Persia, Zelda, Mario, Rayman, etc..), until i discovered FPS' that is...

Wow, I loved the escape scene from the junkyard planet! I played it last night before bed and really had a good time. Played it again today with my kids on the easiest level and except for a few jumps my 8-year-old did well. We liked the action and I liked interacting with all the pieces breaking and falling, all the close calls. Yeah, I know, they're programmed close calls, but it was still fun.
I like the world building in that initial level, too. The ships, the piles of battle droids and clone trooper helmets, the dialogue about the war. It adds a lot of intrigue and fills in the gaps on questions that aren't necessarily important to me but are fun to speculate on and see depicted well.
My favorite part was the subtle foreshadowing payoff was starting the game on the Imperial probe droid seemingly wandering around as it swooped past Cal, them appearing again as he starts the mission, and then there again as he and Prouf are dangling there just as Cal uses the Force. It's a nice touch for the story.
I hope to play again a little later tonight, perhaps.

Put in about 5 hours over the weekend. I think I finished up the planet I'm on (2nd one I've been on) but I got lost and couldn't find my way back to the ship. lmao Great game so far.
