The game is basically BLOPSIII 2.0 with just a makeover.

It plays fine, but it's just really more of the same thing.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I've never been a fan of the way that CoD rewards you more and more for being better than other players. The imbalance it creates is super-frustrating to a perpetual newb like me. I'm not much af a MP fan in the first place, but really not when I'm going to get killed three seconds after I spawn every time.

I loved the MW Remastered campaign though. So much fun and I thought it held up well. I didn't run into any of the glitches that matty mentioned. Maybe I'll just buy it for the campaign, Zombies and the MW Remastered old-school multiplayer.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Just started playing the BETA and iy definitely has a more Advanced Warfare feel to it than BOIII, imo.

I just need to get used to the profiles and how to create better armaments and such.

I'm digging the game and feel. I don't like how easy it is to get capped. I've seen instances where I'm just dumping on fools and they don't die then they turn around and kill me with one shot off of any weapon. Granted, this is the beta, here's hoping the full launch release is tweaked.

Yeah.. that's been my bitch with this beta. It's like they've got Kinetic Armor or something.

I still say this is almost an exact copy of Blops 3
- Same Wall Run mechanics
- Quartermaster / Blackjack
- Rigs/Specialists

Hell some of the weapons/perks/score streaks are the same or similar to those in Blops3.

I do like the Merch(?) shield that once you're charging you're a battering ram and anyone caught in the hit dies. I mowed down 3 fools with that thing and it was hilarious.

Canceled my pre-order... this will be the first CoD / MW game I don't buy (on launch anyways). BF1 is amazing... so it's going to get all my MP time.

Yeah... I'm thinking about doing the same, except I want the MW remastered.

Now I'm wondering if IW decided to include the MWR because they realized they were basically making BlopsIII 2.0 and folks were going to jump ship.

Why is everyone cancelling IW exactly?

For me, Infinite Warfare is basically Black Ops III re-branded with more Space-shit and different menus.

It's almost the same damn game that I just played through for a year.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I'm not cancelling. I've hated the way the series has approached multiplayer for years, and this looks to be even worse. But I like the campaigns and Zombie modes. And this has that amazing MW campaign and its old-school MP. So I'm getting it for that. Worst-case scenario, I'm sure Best Buy will have some sort of good trade-in deal for it the way I got $32 for trading in BLOPS3 for Gears of War 4.

I'm not canceling shit. I also got the digital package, with the DLC and MW via Amazon. I also had $18 worth of digital credit that went towards that purchase, so I'm good.

Well that really didn't stop me

In all honesty, if you are only picking up this game for the MW remaster, don't do it. Even though the game doesn't hold up very well, it was fun to play around a bit, but not worth dumping $80 for. Give it a few months and it's pretty much guaranteed to show up on the marketplace (with no disc needed) for $20 - $30. Activation likes money, so they are going to get as much as they can up front, and will start selling it separately.

Advanced Warfare is still my fall back COD game. I like the zombie mode and the multiplayer is still fun to jump into every now and then. The campaign was fun too. It will be cool to see what Sledgehammer follows it up with next year.

I'm a MP guy. Never bother with the campaign mode.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Gotcha. Then, that makes sense. I, on the other hand, am very much looking forward to the single player campaign. Hope it's at least as good as all other CoD campaigns. Also, looking very much forward to revisiting MW...

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I finished the MW remaster campaign tonight. Arcade mode does unlock afterwards. I still can't believe I got the Mile High Club achievement on 360. I can't imagine doing that now.

I thought the campaign in Blops3 was one of the worst I've played... just my opinion.

I completely agree. I finished it and can't remember a damn thing about it other than a growing tree or something at the end.

Got my download codes last night - I should be ready to play by Friday at the earliest. Shit's like a 90GB download.

Jesus, really? Even huge open world games are "only" around 60 gigs.
Even with a 2TB hard-drive, that's still quite a bit a real estate for just one game.

Yes, I should have specified.

It's about 45 GB per game. IW and MW.
