Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

How is MW Remastered Campaign going to be playable tomorrow on the PS4 for a month before IW releases?

Edit : I guess it's just on digital copies where you've pre-purchased the game.

Did the "Playstation Exclusive" give it away?

Moving on....

How is MW Remastered Campaign going to be playable tomorrow on the PS4 for a month before IW releases?

Actually not. By some techno-magic, Playstation somehow knew that I had preordered the Legacy Edition of the game (at Best Buy) and yesterday sent me a Message giving me the code to download the MW Remastered Campaign to play immediately. It was like 35GB so I downloaded it overnight and will play some today. The message said that after Nov 4th I will need to insert the Infinite Warfare disc to continue to play it.
For the life of me I have no idea how Playstation knew that I had this game preordered from Best Buy. It's not like Best Buy sent me a code and I entered it. Anyways, I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

For those who were thinking of getting the PS4 version, there is currently a PSN promotion to get $15 back when you spend $100 by 11/1. If you were looking at getting all the DLC maps, the Digital Deluxe version is a very good deal at $99.99 for the Game, MW Remastered and the Season pass. Spend another penny this month and you'll get $15 back. That's a TON of content for $85.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I've been playing Modern Warfare Remastered for a few hours tonight. It is easily the best looking remaster ever. Can't even believe that this is a last-gen game - it looks fantastic. It's also still a damn great single player campaign, not like the techno-mumbo-jumbo that they try to pass off as a Call of Duty campaign these days.
If anyone is going to pick up Infinte Warfare, you should absolutely spend the extra $20 for MW Remastered.

After your post, I went ahead and preordered yesterday. I recieved two emails from Best Buy today. One with a code for the remaster and one for a code for the multiplayer beta that starts next week. Now I'm wondering, what is going to stop me from canceling my preorder once I blow through the remaster

So, no early access to MW on One, correct?

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I played through the first couple missions of the MW Remaster and it looks great but the gameplay feels a little stale. The subtle changes they made to the games over the years make this one stand out a little more, but it's still fun to play. I think it would have worked better as a MW triple pack remaster, where you can jump in and out of the different games.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I do wonder how they plan on controlling people playing the remaster and then canceling their preorder. Since you can beat the campaign in a weekend, a lot of people will have it finished before the full release.

Guess they are banking on people wanting to stick around for the multi-player

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Man, the MW Remaster seems buggy as hell for me. Objectives not popping up correctly, enemies running through walls and killing me, squad mates not following me through missions, etc. I don't know if it's just a game showing it's age or just a buggy port, but it's frustrating as hell. Also, playing through this is already giving me COD fatigue. I canceled my preorder and probably won't even finish this campaign.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I want the remaster just for the level "All Ghillied Up." I lost track of the amount of times i replayed that level. Superb.

A question: I really liked those Arcade Mode levels that were included with the game. Are they going to be in the remaster? Or were these levels only included in Modern Warfare 2 and my memory is hazy.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I think I remember seeing the arcade mode on the launch screen, but it's currently locked. There are several modes locked right now, I'm guessing they are waiting until the full launch to unlock those?

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Wow... so no buzz with the beta being out for both systems?

I played it yesterday and it made me prefer Battlefield 1 so much more.

I'm not a fan of near instant death kills, not fun.
