Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

For a brief second there at the beginning of the trailer I thought we were going to have an alien invasion, and I thought YES, finally they are going somewhere different with the series. But nope . Would have been a great opportunity too because that's around the same time Independence Day 2 would be hitting blu ray and they could have done some sort of tie in.

Should be a fun rental to run through the yearly campaign. I really hope they sell Modern Warfare separately for like $20 - $25 because it looked gorgeous remastered.

I guess we'll never get a conclusion with the cliffhanger that Ghosts ended on?

^^ To your point, this looks more like Halo than anything CoD.

I guess the more futuristic sci-fi rumors were true.

Looks like I'll be playing Blops3 for two years. Saving my money on this one.

I do, too. Cool idea. Could even cut to a future war with an invasion.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

I'm glad they are including the multiplayer for Modern Warfare. They better offer that as a separate download or I'm going to be pissed. Really don't want to spend the $64 ordering through Prime.

Spoiler:

Just pre-ordered the Legacy edition. If you're a PRIME member you get $15 off. My final total with shipping (on friday 11/4) and tax came out to $69.75.

I almost left a post on BB's unboxed forums asking where the pre-order was for the Legacy Pro edition, but found a post that mentioned it was GS exclusive. I just settled for the BB Legacy pre-order.

I hope maybe at some point they put up a "Gold" edition (like Fallout 4) that has the game & season pass. I've been spoiled by the GCU 20% off discount.

Definitely just want modern warfare remastered and battlefield 1 - have no interest at all in infinite warfare.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Just saw they are releasing a Modern Warfare trilogy pack for last gen (just a repackaging of all three in one box). Got me thinking how awesome it would be to get a multiplayer-only HD remaster of all three games' maps with a balancing of all of the perks and weapons instead of just 10 maps as a pack-in to a game I don't want.

I think the Halo MCC proves how difficult something like that can be to pull off.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Well, the remastered version of modern warfare will not be sold as a stand alone...you're gonna have to buy the new garbage game with it if you want it. My question is, why are they not including it with a standard purchase of the game? Why do I have to buy the mega-awesome version? WTF??

Fuck man 79 fucking dollars just play modern warfare?? Any assholes out there that buy this are just fueling the fire for much higher game prices - what a fucking joke.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Just wait until it's a standalone game of MW comes out. I'd almost be willing to bet it will happen sooner or later after the release of the new game. If it doesn't, then they're stupid for leaving a lot of money on the table.

Yeah, it's Activision after all. They won't leave money on the table. After a couple months, it will show up as a downloadable game.....for $50

How do you know it's going to be a garbage game? I'm glad they're doing it this way, because in doing it this way you're actually getting the games at a cheaper rate as opposed to individual. If I buy the Legacy Edition via Amazon I'll be getting it for $69.75 shipped and with a PRIME discount. $35 a pop. That's awesome. Even more awesome is if I buy the digital exclusive that will come with the Infinite Warfare DLC. That batch is $99, so I get 2 games AND a DLC for about $33. Still phenomenal.

No need to shit on those that are actually interested in a new COD game. MW is a bonus.

Keep calm and sit this one out.

its simple....you should be able to buy mw remaster separately. yeah, calling it garbage is a little over the top.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

All 16 original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer maps are getting the remaster treatment, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg announced at the Call of Duty XP event.

The first 10 remastered maps come with the game at launch, and the final six will be available for free sometime in December.

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Well there goes my plan. Was hoping MW would be a DLC code I could get off eBay:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered requires Infinite Warfare to play

Re: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016)

Yeah, I'm not really surprised. Especially when they announced that they had no current plans to sell in as a digital download separately. I wouldn't be surprised if the remastered COD4 would outsell Infinite Warfare if they did sell it separately. COD sales have been slowing declining over the years and they will do whatever it takes to have you buy the more expensive version. The real shitty part is if you do buy the bundle you couldn't even resell Infinite Warfare down the line if you still wanted to play COD4.
