Well not on iOS I didn't. It wasn't until the 2nd that I even got any shards. I know I only got 30 because I was at 50/100 before the event started and purposefully waited to get these shards.

Fuck it, I'm done. Maybe I'll check it out again when the guild stuff goes in. This game hasn't been "fun" for me in months.

iOS users should have gotten enough Phasma shards to unlock the character. 50 shards. I got the first 10 on Friday. The last 10, presumably, yesterday.

Some people report only getting the shards for the day after force closing the app.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Looks like time zone may affect guilds, especially in regard to raids, which it sounds like we set at a particular time, the leader starts and we all have to play at that time...?

@LaLiam - no, they cannot set when the payout for things will be, it will simply be based off of their geographical location. Please keep this in mind when forming a Guild.
@Barrok - Kind of answered this one already, it's all about the time zone for daily activities. I'll provide more details about events (Raids) at a later date.
@Barrok - well, to give you a little bit of info, the Raid is turned on by the Guild Leader at whatever time they want. So it does have a way to have a start time. Stay tuned for additional info later!

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Since there is a cost associated with starting a guild, I suggest that we all pay our Guild leader (Pinata) something to contribute to the leader (Pinata's) costs. Pinata.

Pinata in in CST I believe.

What kind of cost are we talking about here? Is it one of those things where it's free up to X members then you have to spend crystals to add another one and each one gets progressively more expensive?

This is officially far more complicated and limited than it needs to be. Is this geographical limitation to avoid lag or something?

I hope not. The way Marvel Puzzle Quest does it is ridiculous.

Jesse said that it would not be costly. But to EA, where a POS shard pack sells for $60, who knows what that means.

I am more than happy to contribute to any guild costs. And I think we all should, frankly.

Thank you again to Pinata for being our guild leader!

I think you misunderstand. The time for events is tied to the leader's time zone. that's all geography factors into it. So if Pinata is in CST and our event time is 5 pm CST, whereever you are in the world is when we all do it.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

I'll pitch in too of course. Honestly, it's probably better that there's some gateway to creating a guild (even if it's just a few crystals) as it makes people take it more seriously and the game is flooded with one person garbage guilds.

It's probably for the best that our guild leader, piņata, is in CST as it means that we're all within an hour or two (I don't think there's anybody here not in NA?)

In fact, that's just what Jesse said. EA wanted to make a barrier to entry to guilds so that people just didn't make 50 of them. He has said several times that the cost would not be great.

Sounds good to me. I'm sure if there are a large group of us the cost will be very little per person. I'm up for contributing, too.

I just don't want to see the 30th person have to contribute 3x as much as the 10th for the same spot.

Is that how other games do it? I've never seen a pricing model with guilds before, especially for a mobile game.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

My only experience is with MPQ and it was something like an extra 100 "hero points" to unlock the next spot as it was the last spot.

For example, if it cost 1,500 to unlock spot 15 then it would cost 1,600 for spot 16. The way we did it here was whoever filled spot X had to pay to unlock spot X+1.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

Can anyone make a case for who to go for next in Cantina? Have QGJ and Daka maxed. Don't see myself using Poe or Boba much outside of Tank challenges. Don't need more Jedi.

I guess it's time to start stockpiling these.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

I've got QGJ and am going for Daka now. I got Fives from a bronze pack (nice surprise) and find him a decent character for a secondary team. He's pretty tanky though, so if you don't need any more tank characters, not sure you'll want him.

Re: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (iOS & Android)

In Heroes of Dragon Age, the cost is 100,000 gold to set up a guild. There are no other costs. I would hope they will do the same here.
