Vader is mine! Got a rare 10th battle GW shard drop. Had been sitting at 79/80 for awhile about a week away from any achievement. Now I need 65 more shards to level him to 5*? LOL, that should take about 100 years.

Would it be dumb to stop at 6* for Lumi for now to get Phasma? Would keep going on Sid up to 7* (b/c there is nothing else worthwhile in the Arena shipments). But I feel without Phasma, I am getting killed in area because I'm losing 2 shots to 1 against teams that have him.
Also, is there any way to see who is in an arena team BEFORE you enter the match? I can see the leader of course.

No, that's not dumb. Phasma is great too.
You might consider Eeth Koth in the immediate short term from Arena due to the upcoming Jedi events.

Right now, I have three Jedi of consequence:
Lumi 6*
JC 5*
QGJ 2* (will be four by end of next week).
I actually pulled a Kit Fisto from a Bronze but there's no way to improve him.
If I invest in anyone else Jedi, it will be Barriss.
From what I've been reading, this is meant to be a LONG process. Months. That being the case, I will probably just build my team the regular way b/c as i see it, everyone will be Jedi obsessed and i will continue to build a solid roster.
The one thing I'm not crazy about is that I had intended to get Poe to 5* before going back to QGJ but I do want to at least get through the first three stages of the event this go around. Then I'll work on the rest. There's no need to run face first into the fire.

Setzer, curious, what's your highest Arena rank? That's one factor they use to determine your GW opponents. Sounds like they'll be changing this at some point though.

Halfway through my GW today I ran into Vader, Kylo, Rey, Sidious, Dooku. I had to throw scrubs at them to take the first wave. There was no way to get past it with my A team's current cooldown states without doing that.

So, I'm thinking we all need to start farming Ackbar now since the update will allow DoT effects to kill you. Vader is going to see a huge boost in PVP frequency.

The devs have said that GW is not something you should win every day. Sometimes, you are going to get blocked by a super team. there's always tomorrow.

I'm on the last leg right now for today, 3rd match before the final, and it pits me against another team all 7*, level 69 team. It's never been this crazy before. But I think I might know what happened and I just submitted a bug report to EA. Last night I was doing Arena matches trying to get my rank up into the 101-200 bracket before 6pm. When I started doing the matches I was rank #311. As I was winning matches the game would pop a message saying I was now Rank #1. It did this for 3 of my wins even though I wasn't even close to being ranked #1. It didn't change my actual rank, it was just showing in the message that popped up. I shrugged it off as just a glitch but now with Flashburn saying that GW matches are based off my Arena ranking, I think this glitch may have screwed me.

But yes, you are SUPPOSED to find some matches from time to time that are impossible. Don't forget though - GW is a war of attrition. Throw out your C and D players to burn specials or eliminate an enemy than bring in your main squads. Sometimes at the end of GW I'm literally down to my last players, and I have like 30.

Got a ridiculously easy GW today, the last few I've just been able to do auto and beat them all, without even having to use suicide squads or restarts. I'll take it!

I've decided just to continue to farm Barriss. I'd rather have a character I actually want than Koth. Maybe one of the lesser Jedi will bronze drop. I have a feeling that Jedi shards and drops are going to increase artificially over the next few days.

Welp, my easy GW streak just ended, HARD. My 7th fight in was all level 60's, three with purple gear, including a 7* Lumi and 6* GS. Very nice.
Yep, couldn't even beat them with a suicide squad before them. Wiped everyone out. Fucking lame.

At 6*, GS can one shot alot of players, and even if he doesn't, his assist call will probably take care of the rest. He's definitely a first turn stun candidate if he wasn't so damn fast.

After getting creamed, I pulled Plo Koon. I haven't studied all the other Jedi, but Plo may be the most useless. None of his abilities look necessary at this point.
