Thanks! I’m only level 33 now, so I’ll keep on working through the main story.

Once you’re at an adequate level, it can be beneficial to go to the Frozen Wilds cause you can get some useful stuff.

It was recommended for level 30 and up on the quest menu. I was thinking about going to check it out during my next play through.

There are some wicked weapon upgrades up North. That’s all I’ll say.

It definitely sounds like I need to make a trip up there. What level were you when you made the trip up?

It was awhile ago, but I think I was near Level 38-40 when I went up there. The new machines and weapons are pretty cool and the story is good too.

I quite enjoyed it... and then when I was done with it, I completed the main story and rounded out the game around Level 50 (in open world games, I go everywhere and try to do everything... "no stone unturned" kind of attitude).

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn - PS4

You all were right. There were some really good upgrades in the Frozen Wilds. I finished the whole game tonight and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to playing the sequel after a 3-4 month break. Hopefully it'll be on sale on Black Friday.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn - PS4

I forgot to add. I finished 100% of the main game and Frozen Wilds. I don't think I've done that with any game before. It looks like to get the Platinum Trophy you have to complete the New Game+ mode and I don't see myself doing that anytime soon.

Well done. I hate timed challenges so much that I don’t even try for 100s.

My final save time was 88 hours. I probably spent over ten hours trying to get the top marks in the hunting grounds.

I probably have more hours than that. There are a few flowers and things that I can’t find. I’m also short a power cell or two and pretty sure they aren’t worth looking for. I did move on to other games and also just bought Forbidden West so I’ll probably try that after I finish Miles Morales.

Did you buy the maps for the flowers and other collectibles? The maps make finding them much easier.

I think so, as I can see their locations. They might be on ledges or something, I dunno.

If you get near the map location and scan around with your focus you can usually find them. The power cells give you the best armor in the game, but if you’ve already beat the game, you don’t need it. You do get trophies for finding all the power cells and collectibles though.

I would like to finish those power cell ps and tracked down one via YT, but at this point don’t know which I have left and don’t really want to spend time chasing dead ends.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn - PS4

So yesterday I went through and found one metal flower and the last two figurines. The one I’d been looking for turned out to be on top of a bluff that I needed to climb some columns for. Thanks, single-figurine YT tip!

Still missing a power cell and a metal flower that isn’t showing on the map at all.

Here's a Power Cell guide: https://www.ign.com/wikis/horizon-ze...Cell_Locations

They can be hard to find.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn - PS4

The internet told me that a missing flower could be found among the original ruins, and there it was!

Problem is that last power cell is sticking even more in my craw now.

... along with a [separate?] multiplayer game for the PC/PS5 (whatever form that takes).

I'm not into multiplayer but I would play HZD online if they had group hunts like Monster Hunter

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn - PS4

My god is this a fun and beautiful game. The combat so satisfying. Tough, but fair. Breathtaking visuals. Story not bad either. At least I’m paying attention to it. The crafting is easy, which I like. Can’t wait for more. I don’t know why but I felt compelled to play all of a sudden. Thought, I’d try it out, go back to others I’m playing (RE4, Ratchet & Clan: Rift Apart), but this is taking me away from those, I think, pretty sucked in right now.

Once you get to the appropriate level, head on up to The Frozen Wilds. You can get some of the best upgrades in the game up there before you play the end of the game. I think you need to be level 30 or higher. Make sure you do the hunting trials. You can get some cool upgrades there too.

The Frozen Wilds as in the Dlc or is there a section in game devoted to that particular area?
