Tell me about it...I spent about 20 minutes trying to blow up a TIE until I figured out you could lock the target. MUCH easier.

Yeah I like the Fighter Squadron mode in this game. With Battlefield 4 I end up with 3 kills in 20 deaths in Air Supremacy.

Flying is much more accessible in this game.

"Immortal" players are showing up in this game... although it sounds like a glitch and not cheating bastards.

My buddy got this for the XB1 instead of the PS4 we agreed upon. So not sure if I should keep my PS4 version or exchange it for the XB1. The missions/operations are only 2 player right?

Yeah, I did that, and it's fine. It's just not giving me the thrill I expected to be piloting an X-Wing or speeder bike. They need to make a new X-Wing title ASAP.

If you are talking about the 'co-op' missions....yes, two player only.

I played very briefly last night and died 4 times in under 90 seconds. Very frustrating.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

I played some domination and walker assault. This game would be a lot better if you could coordinate with your teammates. You kind of have to infer what the rest of your team wants you to do.

This is definitely not worth $60 IMO.

Agreed. I knew going in that there wasn't much here, but I was going to buy this game no matter how negative word of mouth was just because...Star Wars, I guess.

I planned on playing this game for a really long time too, like the rest of the year. Star Wars FPS by the guys who did Battlefield 4, my favorite game of this gen so far. Didn't seem so far fetched. Picked up and started Fallout today...

Walker Assault is crazy fun, though, especially on Hoth. That's my favorite of the four maps. Fucking hate the Endor map, though. It's pretty, but I don't like playing it one bit, so it doesn't help that it comes up 3 or 4 times every hour.

What kills me is how they fucking held back content, knowing full well how shallow it was.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

I also wish the guns were upgrade-able. As much as I've bitched about "pick 10" in CoD... what an awesome thing that would actually be in Battlefront. I hope the devs are listening for BF2 because after my 15 hours or so, I'm more frustrated and disappointed than anything. New maps over the next 12 months aren't going to fix what ills this game.

Also, why in the world can I buy a celebration or different face using in game currency? Why can't I get a new scope or rapid fire attachment? So stupid.

Not only did they hold that content back, they urge you to buy the season pass on the main menu. It's clear what the business model here is: Pay twice if you want the full game. What a crock of shit.

Hopefully the sales of this prompts someone with more scruples to make a really good Star Wars game, though.

I uninstalled the game from my console. Thank goodness for EA Access, it saved me buying a shitty game I would have otherwise purchased.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

After playing this more... I changed my mind, I am having a blast with this game. I originally posted here saying I was disappointed and didnt like how the guns felt and that they packed no punch. Well some of that is still true. but after getting used to those aspects I'm loving it. I love Droid Run as well as Walker Assault.

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

I liked the demo, and I love the full game. I guess I can see those that are used to COD can find complaint, but to me, it's a blast. While you can't upgrade the guns, you can upgrade all the cards. For me, the wild frenetic action of the 20 v 20 modes just can't be beat (IMO) since they have objectives that push the action forward, there's hardly ever a chance to just rest.

Just the crazy scenes that play out during any given game. I was just running underneath a walker on Tattoine(Imperial side) while a Speeder was trying to tangle up it's legs and took it out with an Ion missile. Next game(Rebel Side)on Endor, we won by taking out both walkers at the second set of uplinks. I was standing on a ridge almost Walker "head" level and one of my team mates had somehow managed to jump on the walker and rode it as we took it down. Wild stuff!

Re: Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

I also rode a walker on Endor... Jumped on it from the tree bridge.

Does anyone know how to deploy the tow cable from the snow speeder for the X1?

Yeah, I'm sure no one has ever heard of Breaking Benjamin

But hey, good for him. I wouldn't think turning down money for positive exposure for a product that he didn't like would be a bad thing?

That's not a bad thing. Posting about it like its some crime that they wanted to pay him to endorse it is kinda crappy though.
