I'm about 40% through the DE and haven't come across the new areas yet. I'm still loving the controls and atmosphere of the game. Climbing the Ginso Tree is an excellent section of the game. I only wish it was a bit later as it felt like the most climactic part of the game during my first playthrough.

Oh, and there's now an Ori store where you can buy shit:
http://www.oriblindforestshop.com/

I like the mug... but otherwise, nothing I really want. An Ori stuffy or a Vinyl soundtrack would be immediate purchases for me, though.

Yeah, as the thread title says, where's the "360 coming soon"?

Never. The devs have answered a LOT of questions on NeoGAF about the game, and that one has gone completely ignored. So... never. It's not happening, or if it is, they don't want to acknowledge it and get anyone's hopes up on a specific timeline.

I forgot how sad the beginning of this game was.

Agreed.

I got to the new sections last night. They're good. Fresh challenges await.

And when I ventured through Forlorn Ruins again, it took me about 10 deaths before my 'eureka' moment, remembering how the floating square rocks worked. I really wish this mechanic was used more in later parts of the game.

Really surprised this one hasn't been targeted for a physical release yet.

So, this is available for pre-order. I posted in the Vinyl thread in Music Talk, but figured it was worth mentioning here, too.

Near the end of the Definitive Edition and I'm going through a particularly difficult section where I've died 50+ times. I finally make it through and it goes into a cutscene. Right at the end of the cutscene the game locks up and then reboots. When I start it back up it puts me at the beginning of that section. So much rage right now.

Just finished it up. The regular version was one of my favorite games of last year and even so I loved every minute of playing it again in the Definitive version. The new area was a fun addition and gave some more story background and was quite charming. I actually managed 100% completion this time since in the vanilla game there were areas you couldn't return to.

Does every minute include every second by default?

Re: Ori and the Blind Forest (PC and Xbox One; 360 coming soon)

Well fuck.
I've hit a point in the Definitive Edition where it's impossible to 100% it.

In Sorrow Pass, there's a Spirit Light blocked by one of those wooden posts. I found the location where the other post is (the one you stomp in order to move the one blocking the Spirit Light), but the post isn't there. I've watched other videos to confirm that it SHOULD be where I expect it to be.

Here's someone else's video, 5:12 to 5:22: https://youtu.be/qrc5q6tUndk?t=5m12s
You can see they stomp the post in, and the gate opens. In my game, the first post isn't there at all.

Fucking hell. I don't want to start a fresh game just to see if it fixes itself. I tried stopping and restarting, but that didn't work. This sucks. A lot.

I know exactly what spot you were talking about before clicking the video and you're not stuck. They changed the locations of some of those gates with the definitive edition so the video you're watching is the vanilla Ori game not the definitive one. They added new abilities in the definitive version one of them being "Light Burst" which is a light grenade that you throw at lanterns through out the game and they unlock gates and other areas. You need to use the Light Burst to get that gate open in the Definitive Edition.

Holy shit, thank you!! I thought I was screwed and had pretty much given up entirely on the game (for the last 18 hours, anyway ). I think it's kind of shitty that they'd change the way to get to existing areas like that, but I can see why they'd want to integrate the new abilities into it.

Is it still possible to upgrade to the Definitive Edition? How much would that cost? I can't find a conclusive answer anywhere.

Re: Ori and the Blind Forest (PC and Xbox One; 360 coming soon)

Interesting dilemma here. I bought the physical release and the game installed the Ori Icon on my dashboard which I've been playing. But apparently that is still the regular version and not the definitive edition (which you apparently need to launch from the disc and not icon). Anybody know if your save transfers between the editions somehow? When I launch the definitive edition my save isn't there but it is for the regular. I'd just start over but I'm 80% done lol.

Nope your save doesn't transfer over. Stuff is unlocked in the definitive edition differently then in the old version so it's considered a completely separate game.
