That's a really disappointing month. I already own three of those songs and Cheerleader is one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

I know I already own "Don't Fear the Reaper" -- that was a mainstay of Rock Band 1. Which others are repeats?

And you're right about Cheerleader. If your girl asks you if pretty girls make you feel like cheating, your answer should never be "Not really"

You may have noticed that some tracks in the list above are from previous Rock Band disc setlists. Another fun fact is that 2017 marks the tenth anniversary of the Rock Band series! As part of our year-long celebration for Rock Band’s tenth anniversary, we’ll be making some of the series’ most popular on-disc tracks available for purchase as DLC throughout the year. This month, you’ll see Blue Öyster Cult’s “(Don't Fear) The Reaper” from the Rock Band that started it all. DLC will also feature Kansas’ “Carry On Wayward Son” from Rock Band 2, and “Swing, Swing” by The All-American Rejects from the LEGO: Rock Band setlist. Stay tuned for more of your favorites coming to the DLC Library in the coming months.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

So are these ones already in our library, but were not available for new purchase before, or were they tracks that we were unable to import until now?

And I guess I forgot that I already had Carry On Wayward Son. I played the shit out of the cover in GH2, didn't remember it was in Rock Band as well.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

According to my notes, I have them all in RB4 so I'm going to assume that that's correct and therefore they were simply export-import only before this month's release.

Hopefully it means we see actual de-listed tracks return. I'm sure there's a couple I wouldn't mind paying $2 again to play.

Beatles would be heavenly.

Yep. These on-disc tracks were only exportable. They expired the exports so there was no way for people (who missed about a 10 year window of opportunity) to get these tracks...until now.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

Finally getting back into Rock Band - bought RB4 the day it came out for xbox one but had a lot of trouble with my legacy instruments - lots of button presses not registering etc....so I just let the game sit on the shelf for the better part of a year - then week before Christmas amazon.ca had the Rivals bundle with Guitar onsale for $50 so I strongly hinted that I wanted it for christmas - now I can finally play and not worry about messing up streaks because I was pressing a button down but it wasn't registering - this guitar seems great so far... of course since it's been forever since I've played, taking me a while to get back up to speed. Haven't delved much into Rivals yet but it seems alright.

Great, three metal tracks... that are all pure shit. I don't hate Slipknot either, but they pick a song that sounds like Stone Sour-lite.

Got RB4 with the legacy adapter for Christmas. Finally imported my 517 DLC tracks last night and threw down on a 2 hour set list with my wife and sister. So much fun. Just need to get Rivals and the RB3 export and I'll be set.

That DLC release is disgusting. They've been so good about bundling the 3 weekly tracks again, but they're going to sprinkle the "legacy tracks" out one at a time and ruin potential bundles? Shenanigans!

There's absolutely no reason to not put the 3 old songs together on a single week and have Toto's be the third here, even if they don't bundle them, it just screams of bad form and bad precedent to me.

I hope what is going on is that they are focusing completely on getting Online play done and over with.

Once that is complete it should be a new draw for new players or returning players and then they will unleash better DLC.

Time will tell.

Also U2 just announced a new tour. I expect more U2 DLC as a tie in.
Perhaps The Joshua Tree full album.

I wish they did this more often. I picked up the Blink 182 one which was the only one interesting to me. I own all the Queen songs already.

Yep, I'm not a fan of this strategy at all.

Rocksmith released a 5-pack of U2 last week, so I'd say that bodes well for a Rock Band pack.

Well that didn't go well. I placed an order for the adapter the second you posted this, but it turns out they barely made enough to cover preorders and have already stopped production.

Is the Toto song the only new one for this week? The other two are re-releases, right?

No. It didn't go well at all. The whole circumstance about this adapter is messed up.

So, online is invite/friend based. No matchmaking. Only one instrument per console.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

I don't see them as major problems at the moment.
Everyone wanted online play, so here ya go.

Random matchmaking was a big problem in RB3. Problem solved now.

I expect them to refine it and add to it as we move along.
This is really Rivals play live if you think about it.

But why they limited one instrument per console? No idea.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

Is there an adapter so I can use my ion on the Xbox One yet? If there is probably going to get the kit out of my closet this weekend and look to see what I want to replace pad wise. Might just replace the whole kit if I can find one for $250 or less. Is that realistic? Looked online a few months ago and think they were going for 300+ on ebay.
