That's a good price on the bundles.
I have the old wooden mustang for my 360 and use the dongle. Is it worth it to get the new drums or guitar? Do the old cymbals work with the new drums?
The only issue I have with the dongle is I have to unplug my 360 when I want to play rock band as it will always sync with it first instead of the X1.

I you don't have any of the latest equipment I'd pick something up for these prices.
Then at least you have it.
If you get RB4 cymbals they only work on RB4 stuff.
Your old RB2/3 cymbals should work on any RB stuff, 2/3/4.
I had the same experience with my legacy adapter. So I am looking to get more RB4 guitars just to avoid the pain.

Okay. I think I may pick up the band bundle since it is a good price and RB is still a hit at parties.
Couple of questions so I don;t have to go searching far and wide:
1. Did they finally support wireless mics? (my X1 is in another room from my projector and a wired mic is not optimal unless the cord is long.)
2. Is there a place that gives specific instructions on how to start from RB1 thru RB3 (and all the game pack in between like Lego RB, Green Day RB, AC/DC pack, etc.) so I can get all of those songs the easiest way? I never took the time to do this when I got the game when RB4 first came out.
Thanks!

Happy to see the two remaining Ozzy songs (Bark and Mama) finally pop up in my to be installed list on XB1. So close to getting the delisted tracks. Itching to play some Journey...it's been a long time.

It appears I got most of RB4 straight.
Still no answers in sight for wireless mics that I can find. Luckily the cord is decently long but it still keeps anyone singing in a very strict static spot in my TV room because of the cord. Not much leeway room for my set up. Has anyone here tried a USB extender?
It appears I got all my old music back for RB1, 2 & 3 along with Lego and AC/DC. I did not appear to get Green Day though. I could have sworn I bought the export for it. Any way to check on that? I am sure I don't have the email receipt as that was quite a long time ago.
So what is the deal with this Rivals thing? Not sure I completely understand it. Is it a bunch of individuals working together as a group but doing things individually? As in, you don't have to all meet up at the same time and play online together? If that is the case, I would be interested in joining up with a local group here if any one needs or wants an extra person.
I want to try to get back into Rock Band. After getting the new instruments all set up and getting my songs downloaded, it was fun playing it again. It is always still a hit at parties (but everyone is typically getting drunk...hence my apprehension to a wired mic and small static standing area).
And I was quite happy with the 21 Pilots track pack. Three solid, catchy hits that are fun to sing and easy to play. My son was quite happy.
Also...two other things. Any recent word on RBN tracks? I really miss my Band Of Horses RBN tracks. They were awesome songs and fun to play. Same goes for the John Parr songs and my Pac-Man Fever album.
And do they still have sales on songs? I remember when they used to have big sales where songs and track packs were 50% off. Is that a thing of the past?

Each week the game has a theme (this week is "songs with numbers in their title/artist name") which features 3 Spotlight Songs (typically 2-3 RB4 disc songs and 0-1 new DLC songs). On these 3 Spotlight Songs, your Crew is graded on overall score on each of the 4 instruments. Anyone can beat anyone else's score and improve the Crew's rating.
In addition to those 3 songs, every other song in your library that fits the weekly theme is part of the Weekly Challenge. Playing any of these songs generates XP for your Crew.
At the end of the week, the average rank of your Spotlight Score and Weekly Challenge XP determines if your Crew is promoted to the next rank, stays in their current, or drops down one rank.

Yes, it's up to 10 players in a "Crew". No one has to be on at the same time.

If there are any spaces in the X1 crew, I would be glad to join. Just let me know. Not sure if there even is an X1 crew for it. If one X1 crew is full and others want to make a second one, I am down for that as well.

The sales ended when RB4 was released. Now everything is full priced even what was on sale at the end of RB3 era.

Now I can't remember for sure but I will likely regret that I didn't even though I was a huge fan of every song.
Well, if anyone here wants to start up a second crew or knows another crew to join, let me know. I may just find a random one and join up but it wuld be more fun to join up with people who I actually kinda know. If posting on a message board is considered kinda knowing someone.
One other question...I never bought the Billy Joel pack but always meant to for the keyboards for RB3. If I buy it in RB4, will it translate to the purchase in RB3 or do I need to buy it in RB3 to have it in both?

So for people who are only going to play an hour or two a week they have to knock out the gold stars.

That's the thing with the crews you can basically help in only 2 ways. Either you have to be able to gold star the spotlight songs in at least one instrument or you have to help with xp by playing at least 20 of the category of the week songs.
So for people who are only going to play an hour or two a week they have to knock out the gold stars.

If you buy songs in the RB3/360 store they will come forward to RB4/X1 but not the other way 'round. None of the new songs since RB4 came out will work in RB3.
So if there are any songs you want that are pre-RB4 era then I would buy them in RB3 store so you can play them in both versions.

I plan on slowly working through the campaigns on all instruments for RB4.
I tend to play Guitar on Hard (with the speed up 1.25x), Vocals on Expert, Bass on Expert and Drums on Medium. What level do you guys play at?
One other question regarding the Crew stuff...is it better to 4 star a song on Expert or 5 star a song on Hard?
