It'll be messier on the PS4 -- which will be my headache, since I bought into Rock Band on the PS3 -- but most things are.
I didn't consider how XB1 handles your existing content. Makes sense that it would all appear in your game management.

If I'm reading that right, my GH3 and GH:WT guitars should work just fine with RB4 (with the adapter).

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

What is the "Wired 360 Rule" and will MS work on support especially given BC titles that might benefit from those devices? Stuff like the Toys-to-Life games or the Scene It controllers or fight sticks, etc.

Edit: Shit, nevermind. I see it clarified up top rather than as a footnote like I expected. #RTFM

Darn the Lips Mics aren't compatible. What does it mean when it says "starred" next to it

Here's the library online: https://store.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox-On...ry=rock+band+4

Even when I click on "Buy Now" for something I already own on the 360, I'm asked to pay full price. It's not working yet and I'm too tired to turn the X1 back on to see if it's easier there.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

It isn't all up yet. None of my pulled DLC was showing, the exports weren't either.

The only song that was listed that didn't come up ready to install for me was Something for Nothing by Foo Fighters. Did anyone here buy that song? I'm wondering if that's a widespread problem or just affecting my account.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

Pre-loaded and downloading DLC on Xbone.

As of now it's a pain in the ass to download songs on XB1, as you're basically going into each song, seeing if it says "install" then backing out again. But I'd wager once the game unlocks proper it should see the DLC you own when you go to "Manage Game". As of now my copy is called "Rock Band 4 Digital Pre-Order" so I'm guessing that conflicts with the "Rock Band 4" DLC and getting them to show.

So, this'll make some of you even madder... it doesn't seem to recognize that you own packs of songs, until you go into the pack and then all songs show as free. Of course this means you have to download each song individually, BUT... this means you can delete individual songs.

I'm hoping that means they are working on it. That's my guess anyway, I do have a really nice wired USB microphone that Rockband put out but having those 2 or 3 Lips mics work in a pinch would be good as well. I do wonder, I bought this ultra nice USB microphone about a month ago in hopes of doing voiceover work. It's a $100+ microphone. I might be afraid to use that on Rockband (it would probably pick up EVERYTHING and I wouldn't want to drop it)... but it would be interesting to see if Harmonix sticks by their ALL USB Wired Mics clause.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

Per the Harmonix forum the Foo Fighters thing isn't just on my end. I actually had a marketplace issue (charged but not given the DLC) on one of the post-hiatus DLC tracks (can't remember if it was SFN or the Weezer or D tracks) and I was worried the customer service refund messed up my purchase history.

I guess there's an Aerosmith track with entitlement issues too but I didn't notice that one last night.

Green Day and Blitz are the only two exports where the tracks were also available as individual paid DLC and it isn't recognizing those individual tracks as owned if you own the exports either.

And supposedly Eric Pope of Harmonix said the exports won't be available at launch on a Twitch stream last night.

It's a little messy to decipher, but apparently there are issues with having custom characters rounding out your band. If you're playing solo, the only custom character in your band is your main. If you have friends over, you can only use one custom character per PSN profile. (Not sure if it's like that on XB1.)

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

I'm a big fan of the track packs being "Xbox Bundles" now. Sure it's annoying to have to download 3-10x and many individual files but I think, in the long run, being able to have individual licenses and have the ability to delete unwanted songs (as others have pointed out) will be very welcome.

I totally forget what I already own, so there's no way in hell I'm going to risk spending money on items I have already.

I think you can determine what you already own using the 360's Rock Band Store app. Is that correct?

The Rock Band Store app was crashing repeatedly when I tried using it a few hours ago. I went into Rock Band Blitz and bought songs there.

Meh, I already owned most of the tracks on sale that I would be interested in.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

I started looking at the effort required to redownload everything I own right now and I don't care enough to at this point. I think I'm going to get the disc and focus on the new stuff then gradually import things either as I want to play them or when the process becomes less convoluted.

I'll probably print out my www.myrockbandsongs.com library and use it as a checklist.

Re: Rock Band 4 (XB1/PS4, 2015)

There are screenshots up now of people who got the game early and in the "ingame" storefront there is a huge list with all DLC and it will say purchased next to it so you can easily click and download it seems like a way easier route so I'll wait. Having to individually click on each song to see if I own it just so I can download them before the game comes out is not really something I want to do.
