While we wanted to deepen the fantasy of what it’s like to be in a band, at the end of the day our focus is always on making the player feel awesome. There are no wrong choices in our Career, no nasty crowds, and no cheap shots. While our games may sometimes be snarky, we’re never going to build in features that purposefully make you feel bad about yourself.

Achievements are up.
Nothing too bad. I do wish they'd move away from the super difficult ones (85% of all hard/expert solos, gold star 30 disc (at least I assume disc) songs) and focus more on the longterm/DLC experience.
Also, expect another song(s) announcement Monday morning.

Harmonix announced that they're going to reveal some more songs today. I wonder how close to the final list we'll be. If it's not the full setlist, maybe they'll also announce the announcement of when the last batch will be revealed. Announcements of announcements of announcements are my favorite!

that's easily the weakest setlist of the 4 major releases.
trophies look pretty easy compared to previous releases. none of the 5-star all songs on Vocals, guitar, bass, drums...

Full track list here. Only 55 songs. That's less than RB1 which, as I recall, had 56. At least 25% of them aren't just Harmonix bands to inflate it.

One of those final songs appears to be a band of middle schoolers.

Basically all of which should be available through upgraded DLC packs in RB4. Of course, it's certainly possible they remove those songs and make the pre-order the only way to get them. Sort of shitty but also a moot point for anyone that would care about a full library since they'd pre-order anyway.

So wait - from the offcial faq:
No indication of when for these tracks. Are these dudes pulling a fast one on us? If I don't get to play The Tragically Hip as my first track I'm going to be pissed.
Your previously exported discs (Lego Rock Band, Rock Band, Rock Band 2, or Green Day: Rock Band) will be available for re-download in Rock Band 4 as we make that content available. We’re looking into the possibility of exporting Rock Band 3, but we don’t yet have a definitive answer.

We also don't know which songs in those exports will still be available. Later games always had the ability to suppress certain songs that became unlicensed during the migration.
It's certainly possible the RB4 downloads of these export packs won't include everything the previous generation's bundles had.

I actually really like that overall playlist.
And I can't be the only one that's amazed we're just now getting Four Non Blondes' "What's Up?" right? I mean if ever there was an overplayed easy song that everybody knows and can, at the very least, sing along to begrudgingly, that's the one.
