If you do that then the save will just be overwritten when you spend a key. Just get a usb drive and backup your saves.

Take out external insert usb and save. Then after I do all you say in game, I put it back? Not sure how all that transfers easily and how will I have same character and level if I remove my save game?

You are overly complicating this. Is there not a USB slot on your console? If there is, plug that in that slot and go through the backup options via your console. Back it up to the USB. If you can't do that, I can't help you any further. There are two separate saves: one is for each individual character and the other is the system settings, where your keys are stored and accessible across all of your characters.

It’s an optional boss right? Why not leave it and come back later?

I have an external storage plugged into USB currently. Will I see the difference with the 2 parts of save? Can I just move that part to internal storage since currently on external storage that is plugged into USB port? I just don’t get how everything is same but get keys back...

Your backed up game save, in this case the user settings, has to be separate than the normal game save that is stored on your console or external drive. You are backing up the save, transporting it away from your console, doing your golden key shenanigans by blowing through your remaining allotment and the loot gets saved to your individual character save. Then you are overwriting your settings save with the save that you backed up on your usb. You can't use your external storage that is being used as a game data drive as a backup for saves. I also have an external drive on my PS4 for game info, but when I need to backup my saves then I do it to the cloud and a usb.

I'm level 33 and just finished up The Graveward boss battle so judging by main mission trophies I'm guessing I'm 3/4 of the way through the game. I stopped searching and doing all the challenges in each area since I know I'm going to have to go back anyways once I unlock the ability to read those writings that you find scattered about.

Thank you shea, sincerely for the detailed descriptions. Unfortunately, it’s a little above my pay grade or many would say my complete an utter ignorance to gaming as an institution. I only have 8 keys currently and access to only one chest on Sanctuary. From those don’t get anything I keep. Mostly purples with good value, but nothing more. The stuff is $800 or so, so all doesn’t seem worth it until I’m further along.

But, thanks, truly. If I understood it better I probably would do it, but not your fault. I’m just a loon...

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

I finished the gam, hit 50 but still need to go back on sides....... However I do have three others I'm playing on & off...Moze Level 13, Siren Level 17 and Zane at 28. if anyone needs a bit of company or even wants to joing me that's fine. Moze and Siren are in Promethea...Siren has done Killavolt but hasn't gone past that. Moze hasn't and is at the Dinner and find someone Henry I think.......Zane is my second primary and he's at Eden just going thru the Estate House for the key clue and dealing with that PITA Boss that teleports all over the place.

This game is just saw awesome. Level 17. Finally found a real good go to assault rifle with corrosive element (think it’s only a purple, maybe blue). Did some more missions. Got some good stuff. Opened up Athenea, but I’m on my way back for Killavolt. I’m gonna get him this time gal darn it!

I haven't played or gotten this yet but wanted to share that the Super Deluxe edition is 74.99 on Amazon and Target for X1 and PS4 right now, and the Standard is 45. (Deluxe is like 78 so not a great savings there).
https://www.amazon.com/Borderlands-3-Super-Deluxe-PlayStation-4/dp/B07Q6H83VY/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=borderlands%2B3&qid=1571090901&rnid=11846801&s=videogames&sr=1-3&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/Borderlands-3-Super-Deluxe-PlayStation-4/dp/B07Q6H83VY/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=borderlands%2B3&qid=1571090901&rnid=11846801&s=videogames&sr=1-3&th=1

choose your console and format.

Killavolt...you've been debilitated!

went back to Killavolt with aforementioned assault rifle. few levels higher than before, maybe 2 and got him on my first try back!, but...

not without a bitch of a fight.

my new gun was great and only reason i beat him. grenades were ok, but wasn't sticky. effective some, but not great. better shield this time around with 699 capacity and pretty fast recharge, but spews pieces of shield that i have to pick up and those are not my favorite of shields as sometimes can be a bitch to pick up and they evaporate. i have a 734 without spewing shield now, but didn't have with KV. my pet skills where i can transport and then he radiates is very handy and a Spiderant spewing corrosive goo doesn't hurt at all, plus he is there ALL the time and doesn't get killed that often where i have to go and revive. sometimes, yes, but not often. and never in this battle.

so, i was in the fight of my life, yet again, but this time i wasn't dying. i was jumping, i was shooting, i was conjuring, i was WINNING!

but he was relentless. he churned and electrified the place and me, but i kept jumping and shooting and using my FL4K skillz. used it all because, it took it all. i don't remember a more stubborn boss where i didn't figure out eventually, what worked to kill in a Borderlands game.

but anyway, i had him way passed i ever had him before. that red bar was depleting. i barely got passed taking away his blue shield bar, let alone start tinkering away at red health bar. maybe a few times out of the dozen or so times i tried prior to giving up (even though had a corrosive weapon before). his red bar was almost there. there was less than a quarter inch of red. it was glorious. i was gonna do it, then...i died!!! yes, that's right i died.

but...in my last breaths, as my lifeless body kept plugging away with same gun that miraculously never ran out of ammo (perhaps a mod that i was finally able to use that increases mag size by 11%), didn't even have to open all weapon chests around arena, as he jumped around one time and threw me off temporarily, i righted myself. i still plowed on, slowly, as the life or oil or whatever drained from my robot body, then, as i believe my second wind bar was just about up, i kept shooting, reload, shoot, OldBoy (my Spiderant) kept spewing and...i got my SECOND WIND! at the demise of Killavolt himself.

his lifeless body expectorating tons of stuff as my big blue SECOND WIND! banner showed through in the foreground. it was a magnificent...

...it was a relief.

picked up stuff, fast traveled to Sanctuary, sold some stuff, upgraded some stuff, fast traveled to Athenas and i stopped playing after that because i was literally, mentally and physically exhausted

Oldboy, you should write a Borderlands Adventures book for adults.

"I was about to blast him into a million bits when, at the last moment, he let out an orgasmic scream and unleashed a pounding that I would have never imagined. In what seemed like a millisecond, I went from laying my final load on his back to being left in a puddle of sticky carnage. He left the arena to enjoy the spoils of victory, while I watched my money continue to spiral downward. Maybe I did end up paying for his victory celebration."

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

I've had a couple separate glitches where in order to progress in a mission, I'm supposed to clear out enemies, but those enemies never spawn. I have to shut the game off, then go back and then they might spawn.
Pain in the ass.

Oldboy...that was probably the best written account of any Boss battle in any game ever...well done....but you're lucky you didn't face him "Before the Patch/Fix"...a couple of weeks back the issue where KillaVolt's Shield Storm attack does not disable the tiles around KillaVolt, resulting in the entire floor being activated.....now back then he was a serious PITA....but still congrads on knocking him out....

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

So I’m on Athenas about to do first story mission there, meet Ava. Came across 1 Typhon log early on and it said to collect them all, but no other ones showing on map. Nor do I have any side missions indications. Where the hell are all the side missions. I’m level 17 already and still so sparse. It’s actually frustrating to do main missions but I don’t want game to end quicker, which in cases like Borderlands games, I want to do as much as possible and can’t fit first time...

Many side missions will come. (91 in all.) Just keep playing. They’re often (always?) tied to completing certain story missions.

I was incredibly annoyed a minute ago when the game crashed on my Xbox One X, about 80% of the way through the Tyreen battle.

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

I hope so. I mean level 17 gotta be third way through and nothing. I mean why make that first third with such sparse missions, which is different than any other in franchise, and save for rest of game? Should hook you and get addicted to right from start. Which I am don’t get me wrong bc I like franchise and type of gunplay/gameplay, but I wanna do lots of stuff before end. And this lack of vending machines, especially on Athena, is down right terrible. I have to let go of $200 weapons in favor of slightly higher $200 weapons. I want to sell. I hate wasting.

It's funny how the Troy battle is absurdly hard and how the Tyreen one is ridiculously easy. Should be the other way around.
