Lol, had the same problem after dying six times so I respec my Fl4k to get the Megavore skill equip the best shotgun with corrosive along with a class mod that gave me +17 more damage with shotgun and started spamming to get the yellow bar down quickly if I died I use the rocket launcher on nearby enemies or have my pet revive me. Finally able to beat it with this strategy.

Early on it's a bit of a struggle but a few thing to do and not do....avoid any guns that uses 2-3 ammo per shot, not that much difference. I assume you only can carry two for now so you might need to park and swap out with a different type just rotating weapons in between battles. Try and carry a minimum of different types like one good Pistol, Shotgun, SMG and Rifle.....and pick up any and everything you can carry and sell; you'll need the money to buy the SDU's (Storage Deck Upgrade) when you reach Sanctuary.....they're to upgrade ammo and space. The first three levels costs $1000, $3000 and $9000. Pick 1-2 guns you use the most and upgrade ammo accordingly. But you want to upgrade your Backpack no matter what; carry more = sell more = more money to buy upgrades...

Hope the next update that Gearbox have us skip the cutscene when making a new character, it too long and boring. Also wish they have the Claptrap's locker like on BL2 so you can store stuff for your new character.

I know there's a lot chatter about the need of a larger stash especially when you figure in GB's claim of a "Billion Guns"...as a friend who hit 50 that joined us over the weekend said, "Gearbox claims a Billion Guns and who knows how many Legendary...yet we don't have enough space"...shades of early Destiny...
I know with BL2 we ran "Mule Characters"...much the same as in Diablo III...where you just used them for extra space to house stuff I haven't got that far with one character yet but might start looking at running a couple to get to Sanctuary at least. What you can do is pick up high level gear, move it to the stash, have your low level characters pick it up, sell it to get a jump on increasing the Backpack. I just haven't found what's the maximum amount of characters you can actually have going.

yeah, i've been selling and everything and only keep certain. when do i get to Sanctuary, after Promethea? i hope. and the storage isn't a problem right now, but the magazine and overall capacity sure is. and is it me or was there sparse amount to do on Pandora? there were no mission boards and i did all the yellow I side missions i could, but there was only a handful if that...

The first 30 minutes of this game are such a drag. BL2 was the same. You'd think after nearly a decade they'd have learned how to move things along, but I guess not.

Then maybe I don’t see. But, if there are no mission indicators or anything, where do I go to get a mission?
Also, guys, remember to check in game email every so often. I keep getting high level and legendary weapons for the VIP thing...

Most of the ones come from Vaughn but there's Bounties on the Bounty Board....usually where you get your wheels. You can also check thru the menu...just move to the far left and that wil show your side and main missions. You can track them there or use the "D-Pad Buttons....< or >" to change which mission you want tracked.
And speaking of the Mail Box, be sure to check so often because when you complete a Challenge for a Manufacture, you'll get a weapon or something....
Up to you but I'd try to knock out what you can in terms of missions and be done with them. I wouldn't fret too much though if getting to Sanctuary is your goal...you can always come back.

For a game with this many guns, why have I gotten multiple of the same legendaries. I mean same exact stats. Come on now. The only way they seem different for some of the is if they are anointed.

If you run out of space in your backpack and locker and have a second controller and account, create some mule characters. I use my wife's account to create characters for simply storing my excess of money and guns. I travel to Sanctuary first and then drop the character in and throw them all of the stuff I don't want or can't use at the time. I also give them enough money to max out the slots for the storage bank and backpacks. This gives me 90 items to store per mule. I also plan on having someone immediately take me to Sanctuary when I start a new character so that I can max out my SDUs before even starting a new campaign run.

I've played hundreds of hours over the various Borderlands games, completing them several times with all characters, and I've never used the banks or made mule characters. Some people like to get the most of the best, which is fine. I don't play that way. I use whatever guns are the best for whatever I'm currently built for, and sell the rest. If I change my build, or make a different character, I go with whatever gear I come across from that point on. I was never a min/max kind of player though, it's too tedious for me.

I guess I like to pickup different gear and experiment with it. Sometimes you can get a gun or other item and not realize how good it is until you have discarded it and dealt with other junk gear. There are just too many cool and effective things you can find to just let the majority of it go.

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)
Two things I wish:
1. Wish the map and objective points weren’t always so complicated to get to. Some are in mid air and I’m like, gulp. I get the more the puzzle element, but running at a particular angle, then jumping to get to a ladder, is sometimes, ridiculous. Then you have to follow this labrinthing maze of a map to get to sometimes obscure objective points. Mostly for side missions, like getting batteries for Moxxi while killing 3 of Killavolts minions or whatever. It gets a little confusing. Especially since you can’t even put a custom waypoint in midair only under it, near it, mostly.
2. More vending stations to a. Buy ammo and b. Sell shit
I have sometimes filled up back pack and want to sell, but you got to fast travel to known vending like on Sanctuary. On the planets, they are very few and far between. At least on Promethea.
Also, some legendary weapons I got from preorder I can’t sell bc they have no value. Others, I got with points I could, but not these. Seems ridiculous. You can sell them, but you get nothing and they cost nothing to buy back. Seems weird.
Other than that, this game is fun as balls and just enough changes to make special again...

I agree on the lack of vending machines. It'd be cool if there was a beacon you could drop that would provide a temporary fast travel point. Even if it had a short timer for availability. I could jet back to a vending machine to sell off junk, and then teleport back to where I left off.
