I need to hit the Casino DLC in order to level up and beat the boss I'm stuck on.

yeah, it does give you a ton of money (of course the gold chest does that too if you keep redeeming keys and selling stuff) and i have leveled at least 2 or 3 levels, but this dlc just so damn long...

I can’t believe you get an achievement for unlocking 10 head skins or even doing 25 side missions which is about all I’ve done through 13 chapters. But, no achievement for getting $1 million? I thought other games had that and not so easy in this game unless you do Jack’s Casino dlc. I really don’t care about achievements, but do like seeing % of gamers who unlocked that achievement, which I think is skewed bc some are really easy to get. Anyway, don’t care a whole deal, but c’mon. That’s something in this particular game. Wish I had fucking known it took 7-8 hours to finish dlc. To me, that’s like weeks. Ugh!

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

Anyone do this Moxxi dlc? I think I’m fucked now. Got up to Fabricator boss. Died once and shut off. I had too much anyway. But, I think you have to be fucking level 50 to beat him. All the vids I saw is pretty much what I would do, but they all at level 50, I assume Fabricator as well. So I play weeks of this one dlc and I’m level 34 and would have no chance except to go back to story. I wanted to finish, I was getting there. I probably played the dlc more than main missions of game for goodness sake. For fucks sake. Why wouldn’t mission say that when take on bc most of the missions and side missions say what level. And they are usually my level or mostly lower. So wtf?

I don't think I was level 50 when I went through, but I'm certain I wasn't as low as 34. I don't understand your reticence to just go back to the main game, especially since you're so frustrated with the DLC. It's not like you'll have to redo the missions on the DLC again. If you're having problems with the Fabricator, you're going to have a terrible time with the end boss. I will say that the guaranteed drop from the final boss is an awesome weapon.

If you have a corrosive cutsman, it will melt the fabricator. You can always go back to the casino, you will have to go through a nice trek to get back to the fabricator though.

I loved the the DLC, reminded me a lot of BL2, plus had my favorite vault hunter return.

Worth the trip for a nice Ion Cannon.

I have some corrosive weapon I like, but not powerful. It’s not that I’m totally frustrated, it’s just I worked so hard and wanted to finish before moving on. I’m sure now I’m a higher level than most main missions. Think I’m only mission 12 or 13 so ways to go, but I really just wanted to finish, get loot and go back. It’s hard when you put so much work into something and then have to leave it for whenever I finish main. And, yes it will be quite a hike and many enemies to dash through if I can to get back. That is my biggest hesitation. I don’t know why it would let me go this far and then not have a chance at this boss, which I think is final for dlc. Who knows. But I am getting that break 1000 slot machines achievement. That’s for sure. They keep popping up and I just have this urge to break and get dough...

The Fabricator is not the final boss.

I misspoke earlier when I said the final boss of the DLC had an awesome weapon. I thought the Ion Cannon came from the last boss, not the Fabricator, but you're right. That thing is fantastic, and is probably worth finishing up at least to the Fabricator. It's a repeatable boss, so OldBoy could go back and get a higher level version later on.

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

i had a corrosive assault rifle (not sure what it was called) that when an enemy is destroyed it shoots orbs out in 8 directions that destroy other bots. thing absolutely destroyed all mechs in the game. was totally OP. Between that and a terminal melter pistol i didn't have any trouble with any boss on mayhem 2 in the casino.

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

who says you can't defeat a level 35 Fabricator with a level 34 character? not me. thanks guys. the corrosive assault rifle that i farmed by going all the way back to Sanctuary's gold chest, used like 100 keys and got that weapon. got another legendary corrosive handgun, but i hate handguns and it wasn't that good. went all the way back to Fabricator, which was quite a trek, killing absolutley nothing along the way. unfortunately, my Spiderant didn't follow and he always has to fight, but i put him in his place and he came back. but, the assault rifle worked very well. only died like 6-7 times and when you have over $1million, that's a hit in the wallet lol. but thank you guys for the corrosive advice. still haven't finished the dlc and probably looking to a showdown with Prettyboy. hopefully, same method will work and i will be done with this dlc and back to main mission...finally!!

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

Almost beat Pretty Boy Handsome Jack mech on first try. I was so close. Beat the first 3 phases and had maybe half of his 4th phase red bar gone, but died. I was surprised it was that easy, I mean not easy easy, obviously I didn’t do it, but when he started flying around in 4th and final phase I got all turned around and there weren’t any of those self exploding little bots during 4th to give me Second Wind. That came in handy first 3. There were lots of bots and when I died got SW probably 7 or so times. I kept plugging away with all kinds of weapons. Nothing really was great or effective. Used corrosive, eradiated, no elemental, but I couldn’t figure which worked best. I mean I switched all 4 weapons many many times. Figured corrosive would be best since mech and metal and stuff, but I don’t know. I also have a nice good mag good fire rate cryo rifle that I like. I only tried PB once. With Freddy I died only couple times. I’ll get PB this weekend and be done with this dlc and get back to actual story lol. I’m sure it’ll be worth it when dlc over. Hell i’m probably gonna breeze through main now. I do hope I get level 50. I don’t think I’ve ever been 50 in a Borderlands game. Would be cool and I got this level 50 assault rifle in my storage that I would love to use. Will I get there after finish this dlc and main story? If not, how do you get there?

Anyone get level 50? And is that the cap? Was it easy just doing dlc and main?

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

have to say, with all the bitching and moaning i did with this DLC and it's length, that end was fucking epic! taking down Pretty Boy, the music, Moxxi wiping the debts away, the little interplay with Timothy, it was truly epic. and for as much as i grinded, i really loved that outcome. i will say Pretty Boy boss was easiest of bunch. when i did him my second time didn't die at all. second winds, yes, but not complete death, so that's good. i think everything else is going to be anti-climatic with the way this ended...lol. i didn;t even level up after killing PB and no great loot, but oh well. it was a grueling, but ultimately satisfying ride. now, onto Borderlands 3...the main story!

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

not sure why all videos i saw were all level 50 or so when beating these bosses. i guess can beat at whatever level you're at? PB was only 1 level higher than me at 3 and i got a rare achievement for beating the dlc. like 60 points or whatever that means. what does that mean? but, also said only 6% or something of gamers have gotten this achievement. what does that mean exactly? who are the gamers?

After you beat the game on normal mode, you replay it on true vault hunter mode or add mayhem modes. Mayhem modes makes the enemies more difficult and add modifiers to the game like enemies have extra pellets, AR have increased damage etc.

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

I was right. The lower level main missions are like nothing when I’m 9 levels higher. I loot fucking shit while things shoot at me. Meaning I can take my time. I turn around, few shots and that’s it. Kinda boring compared to that dlc. I guess that’s how to make a dlc right. I know this is just temporary since only on 12/23 main mission. So hopefully it evens out soon...

so you basically play the main from scratch again, and enemies higher/harder, but your character same when finished 1st time? And you have to play a second time to get level 50? What level usually when finish main first time?

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

I think I beat it level 40ish. TVH mode would be the game from the beginning but your character has all weapons and stats that you had at endgame, or you put it on mayhem mode. Mayhem mod will scale the normal mode game to your level, you can finish all unfinished missions. Its nice because rewards from missions will be scaled to your level, the rewards too (guns/shields).

so you do have to play whole thing again, just on this mayhem mode? are the enemies a lot tougher and stuff? thanks.

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

Is no one else playing this game? it’s not that old. And think it’s quite long especially if you mistakenly or perhaps purposefully do dlc.

I’m still finding really fun and addictive even though doing dlc powered me up too much for main thus far. Like the different planets and fast travels. And somewhat different enemies. Some little smarter. But different atmosphere than strictly the desert and some snow of 1 & 2. Don’t remember much of pre-quel as it was ok, but didn’t stick with it. Was a little off to me and I know others thought so as well. But this one really brings back the freshness I felt when playing and loving 1. Really want to see what happens on level 50 and doing Bloody Harvest and whatever other dlc comes out. I want loot and $$. I can’t even use that 4th spot in weapons to use elemental bc not far enough along. I have something that gives me like over 400 + increase in shield and health when equipped. I’ll be a FL4K tank and I’ll tell you, I could never do it without Spiderant throughout. He does damage, kills and most importantly distracts and I easily take out tough ones. I’m saying my experience points for him to become some kinda scorcher ant that must be insane. He can revive me with a lot more points as well. As is he has saved my life by killing a bandit on his own and giving me second wind. I really could have never done some of these enemy laden areas and certainly not the bosses, which there were a few in Moxxi. He definitely saved me as you may or may not know from my rant about KillaVolt...

Anyone know when that artifact can be used, like finish which chapter? Thanks

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

I got to level 50 at some point. I've done all of the missions and the DLC. At some point, I added in Mayhem level 3 when finishing up the side missions and getting the crew challenges. I was breezing through everyone, and it wasn't very fun. Mayhem 4 was far more challenging than 3, but only in the sense that the enemies were major bullet sponges, which I think is lazy on the developer's part. Previous Borderlands games I've played, I went back and did TVHM after completing the game, but I don't think I'm going to bother this time around. I didn't like the main characters in this game, nor did I like having to constantly travel to and from Sanctuary over and over again. The thought of playing different characters or the TVHM story again doesn't entice to me to do much more until the rest of the DLC is released. Previous games I also did the challenges to increase my badass level. They were fun and unique, and had me doing different things with different weapons. The guardian ranks in B3 don't add much to the game, and the challenges only provide eridium which I find to be useless.

I'm probably done with this game until the DLC comes out. Or there's some major change to the mayhem levels that makes things more interesting.

The DLC wasn't out when I beat it.

I enjoyed the game, but you can tell it was rushed. So many glitches, story line not great. I give it a pass that the Calypsos aren't as great as Handsome Jack because that's nearly impossible, but their story doesn't make too much sense near the end. Also it is really annoying that the NPC don't recognize which character you are playing (beside the occasional enemy) TPS had that and really added to the game, Im tired of being called "killer" or "VH". The whole game they talk about the power of the sirens etc, meanwhile, HELLO, Im playing as a siren and it's never mentioned.

Im farming certain weapons and other things, but they need another DLC or side missions. I can blow through mayhem 4 fairly easily. I'm not starting a new character until they have a start at sanctuary mode in it, the cutscene has been found in game, but no option yet.

Re: Borderlands 3 (9/13/2019: PC, PS4, XB1, Stadia)

now what is this mayhem thing? is that just a difficulty you put on to game in settings?

since i played and finished the DLC i'm just too powerful for rest of game it would seem. i think i'm level 37 and just finished chapter 12 or 13. every mission and most enemies are just like mid to high 20's and not much of a challenge. i hope it does get better and at least the twins will be high level bc right now breezing through is not ideal. i thought the dlc with its' bosses were challenging and i guess bc i did that, it leveled me up too much for main, but tbh blasting baddies and seeing their heads literally explode in a pool of blood doesn't get old...
