This looks good and assuming the reviews are positive (75+) I will probably be getting it. Anyone else in?

This is my most anticipated game of last year, and now this year.

Re: Project CARS (Slightly Mad, 2015) — Multiplatform motorsport simulation

I've been playing it for years as I am an "investor" before they got in trouble for allowing that. I haven't put a ton of time into it, but it's definitely maturing into a good game. It did need this extra time, so it was a good thing that they delayed it a few months.

The graphics look a lot better still than they do in motion. It's biggest flaw is the lighting, which is pretty awful, unless they've improved it significantly in the last month or so since I've tried it. Performance is also an issue, but hopefully that will improve with optimizations before release. I think they have said they are targeting 60fps on the consoles at least.

Re: Project CARS (Slightly Mad, 2015) — Multiplatform motorsport simulation

This has been delayed a few weeks.

http://www.polygon.com/2015/2/18/806...-delayed-again

Project Cars, the simulation racer from Slightly Mad Studios, has been delayed into April, publisher Bandai Namco Games announced today.

In North America, the Windows PC version of Project Cars will now launch April 2 on Steam, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be available April 7. In Europe, the game will be released April 2 on all three platforms.

Sucks, but again, it needs it. I'm glad to see they want to make sure they deliver a quality product in the end.

Delayed again, "mid-May".

http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews...s-to-may-2015/

In other news they have changed their name to "Absolutely Furious Studios".

Anyone who is an "investor" in the Junior or Team level gets $10/$25 back through Paypal (make sure your wmdportal account has your paypal account listed in your profile). Higher level "investors" get a bigger cut.

From Gamepur.com.....

http://www.gamepur.com/news/18779-pr...nse-racer.html

Project Cars Early Reviews Live: "Unbelieveably Good, No Non-Sense Racer, Refreshes Racing Simulation Genre"

Project Cars' reviews embargo lifted off this morning and many journalists claimed it is among the best racing games on the market. Some of them chose not to give a rating to the game because of its missing online features, that will be activated at the day one, but mostly it was a success.

At the time of writing, Slightly Mad Studios' first next-gen racing game has a Metacritic score of 86 on PlayStation 4 and PC, while Xbox One version has not been rated yet.
Let's take a look at what the main online gaming outlets had to say about it in their first reviews:

•Gamereactor UK (9/10): The bottom line is that Project CARS manages to refresh the racing simulation genre.
•Game Watcher (8/10): If you're looking for a beautiful and in depth racing experience then shelling out £40 on Project CARS will be money well spent.
•Game Informer (8.5/10): In a genre where it can be hard to differentiate yourself, Project Cars makes its mark.
•PlayStation Universe (8/10): Project CARS is on the right track with its sandbox career, community-focused online experience and A-grade car handling mechanics.
•GamesRadar (3.5/5): When it works, Project CARS is unbelievably good.
•Hardcore Gamer (4/5): Project CARS is as laser-focused and no nonsense as a racer has been in quite some time.
•Attack of the Fanboy (4.5/5): Project Cars is one the best, and most authentic racing experiences we've seen in quite some time.
•IGN (Review-in-progress): The important thing is Project CARS wants to make me feel like a racing driver just like FIFA wants to put players on the pitch in their favorite football team.
•Eurogamer: Project Cars puts the sport back into motorsport games.
•PC Gamer (83/100): Beautiful, bold and varied. Slightly Mad are uncompromising in their simulation.

Really loving it so far. Finally had to take a break cuz my eyes are old and worn out after not too long.

I think this tops Forza for best console racing Sim.

I'm still enjoying Forza Horizon 2 and Driveclub, but will definitely check this out once it's on sale.

Re: Project CARS (Slightly Mad, 2015) — Multiplatform motorsport simulation

Played this last night and it is a fantastic looking game, but I fear this is another genre of game that I just don't enjoy anymore, right next to fighting games.

I also couldn't get an online game to save my life.

I'll do racing games, especially Forza Horizon style... but me no likey sims.

PGR seemed like an awesome balance of the arcade and sim.

Re: Project CARS (Slightly Mad, 2015) — Multiplatform motorsport simulation

I bought this. Was looking for a Sim and first impression is good. I like the number of series, cars and tracks. Not to mention its beautiful.

I do think I need a wheel and pedals tho.

The XB1 version is part of the DOTD at Best Buy for $10 ($8 GCU). I picked up the PS4 version at Target for the same price, but haven't had the chance to play it yet.

That's a great deal for anyone that enjoys this type of game.

I'm happy having paid full price as it's one of my most played games.

Sure for $7.99 I'll give it a spin. Thanks for giving me the heads up before they ran out of copies online.

It's only $16 for PS+ members. Just got it. I didn't have much time to play in the fall.

I've held off on this when it's been on sale before but for $16 I can't pass. It's been awhile since I last played a racing game (DIRT series). And on the PS Store besides the great price you get a lot of Free cars for DL as well.
