I agree with you 100% and it was easy to forget about the initial release of the Pre-Sequel due to having other stuff to play on my next-gen system.

Yea...I didn't get the latest and all that season pass crap when I played BL 1 & 2 on the 360 mainly thinking gearbox would do like everyone else and start thinking Nex Gen. But they seriously do need to take a page from Blizzard and find a way to migrate 360 & PS3 data over to Nex Gen. I spent a ton of hours with BL 1 & 2 and still have loads of guns & loot stashed. But I be damn I'll pick up the "Nex Gen" version and start all over. Thankfully Blizzard did find a way for 360 & PS3 owners and it paid off tremendously for them and players.

It does transfer...if you stuck with the same console company. Just no going from 360 -> PS4 or from PS3 to X1.

It would be nice if they could get that to work but I doubt if I'll go back to BL2, and if I want to I still have the 360. I held off on the Pre-sequel for next Gen so no saves to worry about there.

Even though the entire package is tempting and loaded, it might be a hard sell for everyone like me that went from 360-to-PS4. You're getting a load of extras, goodies in a nice complete package with better eye candy but essentially the same stuff you 've done over and over. If I were to get this yea it would mean starting from scratch but no-way I'd would play all four characters again much less even 2-3...which was really the fun of the game. Each of the original and the ones in BL2 were fun to play but you really had to get them half-way before they started to show what they could do while having a good time at it. Hits below $30 then maybe for me....

Anyone with a PS4 who hasn't played before thinking of getting this? I played the crap out of on the 360, both BL 1&2 but it appears won't be able to move my data over like I was with Diablo. If a few are thinking about I might actually get it and go thru with them even though it would be from scratch. And no...I don't want to get it and then someone at level 60 drag me along to Power Level. Had that happen with the first and second game and it's not what I call fun. Maybe for the one just going ahead and killing everything in sight but standing back and just watching...no.

So this comes out next Tuesday. Can't recall the last time I saw a major studio game release where there is absolutely NO incentive to buy it early. No discounts, no DLC bonus, no Day One edition... nothing. Might as well wait for the first sale at Best Buy if they're not going to give any incentive to buy it at release.

We've been conditioned for day one deals/bonuses and without one, I've been thinking of waiting for the same reason.

The freebies on PS+ are keeping me more than occupied, so with no deal (and no friends picking it up) I'm waiting.

I'm pretty confident that I'll enjoy the pre-sequel more than Destiny, and I'd love to replay BL2, and there's enough content to justify full-price. But this one will probably be $30 by black Friday, and I don't mind the wait.

Yeah, I had this preordered and then realized the same thing about the lack of any incentive to get it yet. So, preorder cancelled. Though if it wasn't releasing the same day as Bloodborne I'd probably get it day 1 anyway.

For me it was either Borderlands all over again which I played the crap out of on the 360 or something totally new and fresh with Bloodborne...I chose the later.

How would people react if Gearbox had an unannounced bonus for people who bought on day one, and fired their game up within the first day or two? Expand that out to other games/companies, if you wish. I'm sure a lot of people would be upset, but it would be a neat reward for those who do buy without expecting something extra.

Nice but won't happen. Preorder bonuses are incentives that are meant to drum up more sales.

I loved Borderlands 2 and never played the Pre-Sequel, so this is a must for me. But with all the games out now, I'll probably wait for it to hit $30 or so after the GCU.

Buy either the PS4 or XBone versions and get the original Borderlands: GOTY edition for PC free. Yep. Instead of giving Tales From The Borderlands which makes a lot more sense, they chose to give you the first game in the series. And you'll have to play it on a computer instead of the console you actually own.

Target is having a Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal next week. Might just buy two copies and return one to get this for $45 (only $3 over Best Buy GCU but still a savings).
