"Unable to connect to game servers"

What a bunch of fucking shit.

And it wouldn't be so bad if they at least let you play the CPU during "versus", you know, a feature every other fucking fighting game has, but no, for some inexplicable reason, you can't play against the CPU in versus. Wouldn't be so bad if I could connect to their goddamn servers, but I can't. Come to think of it, the few times I've put this in, their servers couldn't connect for about half the times I've booted the game up. Fucking pathetic.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

Okay, so a couple days later, after 5 attempts, I was finally able to connect to their goddamn servers. Went looking for just a quick casual match, and after almost 10 minutes, I gave up waiting as it couldn't seem to connect me to another player even for a single casual match.

What a piece of shit.

Capcom really screwed the pooch with this release. I'm not pre-ordering another Capcom fighter after this.

File this under "Better (Very) Late Than Never" :

Next Street Fighter 5 Update Coming This Week

Just a few days away.

By Nicole Carpenter

Capcom has announced that the next Street Fighter 5 update will arrive on PlayStation 4 and PC on September 22.

The update will introduce Street Fighter 5's newest character, Urien, as mentioned at Gamescom in August. Players will be able to purchase the Illuminati vice president on Steam or through the PlayStation store when the update goes live. Those who've purchased the season pass will get him without any additional steps.

Capcom also confirmed that it will add the "vs. CPU" mode in the September 22 update. As a surprise to many Street Fighter fans, the game was released in February with no way to play against CPU in a three-round match. In IGN's Street Fighter 5 review, we found this one of the most unforgivable things about the game. Many months after Street Fighter 5's release, the feature is almost here.

A selection of new environmental stage knock-outs will also be added to Street Fighter 5. This includes new KO's for Shadaloo Base, Hillside Plaza, Underground Arena, Forgotten Waterfall, Union Station, Kanzuki Estate, City in Chaos, Apprentice Alley, and Lair of the Four Kings.

Additionally, premium costumes are now available in all colors, with color bundles also available on Steam and PlayStation stores.

I will continue to wait until they release the whole game in a single package.....which is inevitable. Strange, but i was sure Capcom said a couple of years back that they were stopping doing this shit of releasing half a game and then putting out DLC after DLC to make it a full game.

I'm pretty sure it was that they wouldn't release "Super" or "Ultra" retail versions of the game (and splitting the community), and instead just go the standard DLC route.

Akuma looks goofy in this one. I think it's the hair.

I get what they're going for in the look but they should have gone further with it. It just looks like regular Akuma w/ wild hair. Probably would have been better to have his upper half of his clothing ripped off or hanging from the waist. And maybe a beard on him.

Street Fighter V is now on sale for 20 bucks. I was wondering if it was worth it? I have been wanting it for awhile now but was waiting for a price drop.

I picked it up for $15 during BF at Target and have been messing around with the story mode. For that price I feel like I've gotten my moneys worth.

I am tempted to grab it for $20, but I know as soon as I do a month later they will release a full collected edition.

I'm pretty sure they already said they were not going to do that since they are adding seasons onto the game for something like the next six years.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

Yeah I know they said they would not release any Ultimate or Arcade style repackaging, but that was prior to the abortion that was the release of the game. No two ways about it, but they fucked up the release of this game royally and it's shipped far less than it would have if they had released a full game out of the gate. I will probably grab it at $20, but I will not be paying for any DLC.

I had no idea the game didn't have an arcade mode until I started reading reviews of the game. I'm no longer interested in buying the game without one.

FWIW, I think it's still coming. But that game shipped so incomplete it's ridiculous.

The season 1 Pass is on sale for $10 again for anyone who missed it last time.
No such luck on the Season 2 Pass, but the game along with both passes is $40 for anyone who hasn't jumped in at all yet.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

I recently downloaded Ultra SFIV for the PS4 and have decided to stick with that until Capcom decides to get its greedy head out of its ass and bring out a compilation collection of this game to retail. If they choose to never release a complete game (as they stated), then they will not be getting me to make a purchase. I make lines in the sand with this shit and thinking about it my line has been drawn for this debacle.

Season Passes to me are pure greed. These companies produce content that could easily be added to the game on release, but want to squeeze every last penny they can from the consumer. I have never paid for a season pass, and never will.
