Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

Finding matches takes longer then it should, but really haven't seen too many other issues. Had my first rage quitter that cost me a win, but I know Capcom is supposed to address that soon.

Story is way too easy, not enough to really get a hang of each character.

Yeah, I wish there was more content but honestly i'm still having fun and don't really regret the purchase.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

I've only gotten disconnected twice, and both times were before the match started. Had a handful of laggy matches, but out of ~100 or so fights, 95% of them have been fine. Well, other than getting destroyed the majority of the time.

I've only been playing under "Casual Match" since I'm quite rusty. Most players I match up with are either "Unranked" like myself, or rank 98620 or something, which I assume is fairly low. Finally starting to break even on my Win/Lose after some serious strings of losses.

Oddly enough, I got put up against someone that was ranked ~20k and managed to win somehow. Totally just got lucky flailing around in panic mode. Bet he was pissed.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

I'm up to Super Bronze now, with a rank in the 40000 range.

I just did the Normal Survival mode to unlock more colors. That mode wasn't too hard for me with my main character Ken, but I can't imagine doing the other ones. 30 matches in itself was annoying and time consuming to get through.

I also got the Fighting Commander 4 to use; I miss the old MadCatz fight pads, I had one for 360 and loved it. Sad that the new ones suck; the FC4 is ok, but not that comfortable to hold. Still better then using the regular DS4 though, that was really uncomfortable for me to use with this game.

Damn, down to $50 already on Amazon. Weird thing is it's not taking the full 20% off for Prime, it's only taking off $2.

Isn't the 20% off only for pre-orders?

Ok, I see now... it is given you the 20% off the 59.99 which is why you are only seeing $2 off the sale price... which is weird.

If you look at the game it tells you "Prime members pay $47.99 for this game."

It's really really easy for the bs story mode it has. The characters you fight are extremely weak.

Capcom fucked up on this one.

I'll get it when it has it all.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

Coming next week.

http://www.polygon.com/2016/3/24/112...lex-zenny-shop

The first part of the March update launches Monday, March 28. It includes the Challenge Mode, an extensive series of tutorials for fighters of all skill levels. In addition, the patch features combo trials for all 16 characters, as well as various bug fixes and gameplay balance tweaks. The update will also add eight-person lobbies and a rematch option to the game's online multiplayer component.

Alex and the in-game shop will be released Wednesday, March 30, in a separate patch. For the time being, the shop will only allow players to purchase content with Fight Money, the in-game currency that is earned by playing Street Fighter 5. Extra characters will cost 100,000 Fight Money each, and story mode costumes will cost 40,000 Fight Money each.

Capcom previously announced that Street Fighter 5 will also feature a currency called Zenny that players can buy with real money. However, that functionality needs more work.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

I've been hearing that "rage-quitters" have been an issue in SFV. In MKX, rage-quitters were penalized. Will they do the same thing with this?

^
They instituted a temporary solution, but rage quitting is still an issue.

From Capcoms blog

Starting last week, we penalized roughly 30 players in our system by docking their League Points. Players who log into their account and see that their LP and Rank has dropped significantly can consider this a warning. We will be continuing to monitor these accounts in the coming weeks and will take further action if needed.

Moving forward, we will be making a sweep each week based on accounts in our system that have abnormally high disconnect rates (particularly at the end of the match) and will reset their League Points.

While we donít have an exact ETA on a permanent solution, we will let everyone know as soon as it is in place.

30 players? That seems like a tiny amount unless this is doing much worse than I thought.

Considering it landed at #7 on the NPDs last month, I would say everyone outside of the die-hard fans are waiting until more patches or the release of Super Hyper Street Fighter 5 Turbo Championship Edition.

The Collector's Edition is down to $67 on Amazon (and $58 for a like new factory sealed copy through AWD. Currently over 50 copies). Sony can't be too happy with how this thing has been performing.

No, nor Capcom. But hopefully they can learn from this and not assume something will be a slam-dunk just because of it's property.

Amazon had the standard edition for $10.63 (sold by Amazon, not 3rd party sellers) last Saturday.

Weird. The lowest it's showing on CCC is $49.99.

It was a brief pricing error. Don't even know if they all shipped. Shouldn't count.

The core game is great, but I don't think Capcom could've fucked up the way this was released any more if they tried.
