Favorite in-game power-up or ability?
 

Currently playing COD: Advanced Warfare and I'm reminded of how much I love automatic turrets. Starting with the laptop gun in Perfect Dark, I have always loved autonomous guns.

I think it's because it's like the game is fighting itself and that amuses me. Also dug it in games like Deus Ex or Bioshock when you can turn enemy turrets against guards.

What's a power-up, weapon or ability you love picking up in a game?

-Saw blades in Halflife 2 with the gravity gun
-Laptop Gun in PD as mentioned, for sure
-Proximity mines in Goldeneye
-Too many from Worms to list (holy hand grenade, old woman bombs, super sheep...etc)
-The giant cannon in Serious Sam
-C4 in R6 Vegas; I was addicted to that game and pretty good. Got to the point where I could hit people with the C4 and detonate it on them.
-Desert Eagle in the original SOCOM. Super gratifying to headshot with that thing.

I love the Stealth Kill in Shadow of Mordor... you teleport to your victim and take him out... it can also be chained for multiple kills.

I love games where I can use telekinesis to grab objects or enemies and throw them at other enemies. Bioshock, Dead Space, Saint's Row 4...

Speaking of Perfect Dark, I'm reminded of the hilarious N-bomb. That was fun to throw at people.

There was a PS2 game called Psi Ops that was the first to really explore telekenitic and mind-control gameplay. I loved it.

Seeing people do that in streams is what killed any interest I would have had in that game.

That didn't explore telekinesis gameplay, it just used telekinetic abilities in the Boss to kick the player's ass.

Loved that game - the ability to pick up something you are standing on and fly around needs to be in more games.

My favorite version of those is the fire hydras in Diablo 2.

My favorite videogame powerup? Still the Kuribo Shoes in Super Mario Bros 3.

I loved powering up the jump in Crackdown. The gravity gun from Half Life 2 and a saw blade was a lot of fun. In Just Cause 2 I loved the parachute boosters. It made the game a lot more enjoyable and getting around more fun. Also the Blow gun in that game was a hell of a lot of fun. Duke Nukem had the shrink gun which was awesome.

The Shark Gun in Armed and Dangerous is easily the most entertaining weapon/ability I've ever had in a game.

The game sucked overall, but loved the dog in COD: Ghosts (when I unleashed it, anyway...thing was a pain in the ass to kill).

The Michael Myers care package was also pretty bad-ass.
