Exactly. This isn't a case of moneyhatting a game away from other platforms; if not for Nintendo pulling out their checkbook, there would be no Bayonetta 2.

I am crazy excited about this game...well, games, plural, since I'll be replaying the updated first Bayonetta before diving into the sequel. The only downside for me is that my preorder gets here the same day as Sunset Overdrive, and I'm torn about what to play first.

Fuck Sunset Overdrive. No way that is a better game than Bayonetta 1 even.

I want the Wii U JUST for Bayonetta 2. Well dominately that... the general cool Nintendo games are a given.

I'm going to get in on the Best Buy GCU with their $30 special. Could I pre-order this there and have that discount apply?

No. But you could buy the game on 10/26 and get the GCU subscription for $30 and get the discount on the game at time of purchase. There's no pre-order bonus for this game anyway so there shouldn't be any problem (unless they ran out of copies -- which I highly doubt, or unless you HAD to play the game on launch day).

That deal starts on Sunday. The game will be out by then, so you don't need to pre-order. Discount should apply.

Yeah, I could probably afford it without mortgaging the house, but don't really want to buy yet another game console to play just one game on. If it drops low enough and they bundle it with something good, I might get a WiiU eventually -- then the first thing I would do is seek out this game (which looks awesome).
But honestly I bought a Wii and several games and some accessories as well and NEVER played any of them much at all. I think I'm good for now.

I didn't get much use out of my Wii either, but I've been having a blast with my Wii U. Of course, a lot of that will depend on how much you're into Nintendo games. Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, and the updated Wind Waker are a few of the games that make me really glad I picked one up (although if I were doing it all over again, I wouldn't have bought it at launch). Even some of the games I'm not crazy about, particularly The Wonderful 101, still feel like something I can't get on any other platform. I think I picked up more games for the Wii U in its first year than I have for any other console, ever. For someone who didn't get much use out of his GameCube or Wii, that was a huge surprise for me.

Super Mario 3D World has surpassed all my expectations. It's a breath of fresh creativity.

Is the original Bayonetta going to be included on a separate disc or is it a digital download?

Looks like a separate disc but sharing the same case. Nintendo's website includes a photo of two individual discs, anyway. Very glad to see that.

And I wanna play B1 first, but since I already played that on the 360, I wonder how long I can last before popping in B2.

Aw, shit! I think I need to buy a pro-controller in order to play this.

The tablet controller just doesn't feel right for this sort of game, and even worse, not being able to turn off the controller's screen is like watching a movie in a theater with the person next to you texting the whole time - super annoying!

Why So Blu?

I knew that character looked familiar. I just got the anime. The same studio that did afro samurai did the animation for the film.
