Nope. Haven't gotten it on any character yet. I do have a checkpoint though, and I know how to cheese the bridge...a couple of ways actually.

No, there is a chest in that room after the shrieker. As far as I know, it just drops shards or energies.

ok, that is what I thought .... maybe I'm just confused as to what I did and didn't get and where the loot drops and chest opportunities are since I didn't get sh*t for armor or weapons

so I guess I only got shards/energy for all 3 of my characters on the first chest (lighted door before the lampposts) and I must have only got shards/energy on my Warlock on anything else up to Ir Yût (assume that was a second drop for having someone cross the first bridge after the lamp posts and a second drop after getting past the bridge/totem/swordbearer phase) who we did not take down

we didn't get into the room after the shreiker but it appears to be more of the same

so unless we run this from trying to kill Ir Yut on there probably isn't a point in me running my Warlock again other than shards/energy and I guess if I do my Titan I'd want to do it early enough to get the drop after the first (run to the light) bridge crossing

19K and I have the Crota checkpoint. We got within a sliver of killing him this morning with careen and our other crazy morning guys.

The Crota battle leaves very little margin for error. If one person dies, you risk a team wipe.

Besides a Fatebinger Pistol for those who don't have one what's the other recommendations for these new Hive?.....something like a 1st & 2nd choice on Primary and 1st & 2nd on Special?

my load out is Fatebringer as primary and Ice Breaker as special
when not sniping with the Ice Breaker I rock the Murmur (which I think is a great gun)

pretty sure the Mythoclast would also make for a great primary (but I don't have one)

I wouldn't have a problem using VOC or Another NitC (no auto fire though) or Suros as a primary
Pocket Infinity probably another ok choice for special

weapons with exploding perk (ex. Firefly) or solar is helpful in TDB

by the way I maxed out my new and improved Ice Breaker yesterday

Chess, I must have changed my button layout because L1 definitely did not cleanse with the relic. It wasn't until my third or fourth time that I realized that L2 cleansed for me. And R2 didn't do much with the relic, I had to press R1 to do a lot of damage with it (something else I learned on the third or fourth try).

No worries Slider. I didn't need anything from the raid. Just wanted to see you guys finish it. But I would have preferred that one of the 29s had picked up the relic simply because they do more damage.

I set up a group to grab the second Crota chest last night and cycled all three of my characters through. I'm pretty sure we cycled 11 guys through on at least one character before the chest disappeared. Think I got 2 shards and 4 energy, so I'll have to do some converting, but it was still worthwhile. We got it on the second run when our runner (mccareen) died and I got to the end and saw the door still open. I just went for it and barely got in. Passing that checkpoint around and cycling guys through will have to be a weekly thing.

Yeah, thanks for the invite Chess, sorry I couldn't make it in. New TV and PS4 aren't playing nice together yet. HDMI handshaking issues or something. Just curious, how long does it take to be pulled in and grab the chest? Orbit time plus looting so less than 2 mins? As you know, I generally don't start till later but if this is a weekly thing, I'm sure I can find time to grab the chest earlier.

Assuming you aren't on the team that actually makes the run, you could proabably get in and out in 2 minutes per character...basically just load time plus revive time plus a run down an empty hallway.

It took maybe 15 minutes to get a team assembled, and that was the longest part. We did the two (might have been three) attempts in a couple of minutes, because you either make it or you don't.

re-join fireteam
in orbit screensaver
drop in dead
wait for person at drop in site to revive you
run down hall to open room with chest (jump over large hole ... this is where you might struggle so you might want to go around it )
open chest
repeat with 3rd character

I'd say we had around a good 10-15 mins that the chest was there for

only thing that may slow progress down is if there are more than 6 trying to join in on the fireteam at a given time ... other than that pretty smooth process

Yeah, unfortunately on that run where we almost had the boss beat, Cruz (28), Nic (27), and I (28) got transported the last time. I was thinking Cruz was going to grab it, and he thought I was, so that kind of fucked us.
