Ice, you didn't disappoint. I threw that in there for fun. As I mentioned to Scott via chat one night, some of the missions on the water planet (name is escaping me ATM) gave me a little trouble. Lol.

I've had absolutely horrible RNG with exotic engrams. All 4 of my engrams to date have turned in to the same damn thing! The warlock helm, Eye of Another World. So frustrating!

Thanks! I never got into the raids too much in D1 because I was always so behind and trying to catch up. But looking forward to experiencing it all first hand. Just hit 265 last night so not too far off.

Ok...enough...I have to ask on the benefit of myself and two others I play with that we're basically "stuck" crawling leveling up basically inch-by-inch day-by-day....

We we're playing last night getting in three strikes, a Adventure, Hidden Sector and several Public Events and in the end didn't move one bit. My friend did turning in for a Powerful and also got a Exotic out of a Legendary and hit the 280 threshold after being at 278 for 3-4 days.

yet...I saw where "Mr. Destiny" himself, Scott post a shot of all three of his characters at 300+....and we're like, "The game has been out three weeks, not three months...how the.....?"

So I told my friends I'm asking the experts here because it's apparent what we're doing....strikes, public events, chests, hidden sectors, adventure is not working. If it weren't for the few Exotics recently and the Clan Rewards I wouldn't even be 265 (I'm stuck at 270) because everything I decode is at 265. I didn't get into a Nightfall last week because I felt I was really low but you can do that once. And the RAID is out till I get up some but I'm literally crawling.

So is there a basic "Step-by-Step"...do this and that because we're just clueless as what to do.

1) If you have any legendary mods, equip them in weapons and armor you like. They give that item +5 power.

2) You want to do the weekly flashpoint and then crucible call to arms. Both of those drop items significantly higher than your current level. You also want to max out your 5K weekly Clan contribution to get another powerful engram. If you're not doing crucible, you will not level as fast.

3) Do the Quest Line on EDZ. The end reward is a Midi Multi Tool that will drop a good deal higher than your current LL. There are similar quests for weapons on each planet.

4) People at 300 have had 3 guardians at level 20 since the first few days and have the ability to move high weapon drops around to raise LL. 270 is not a low level.

5) Strikes are a waste of time IMO. The rewards are shit for the time it takes compared to running public events.

I'll also throw in that you should at least be running the nightfall. I'm only 245 or so and ran it the other day with the group and got The Wardcliff Coil to drop from it.

Well, I'm sure some weeks are going to be more difficult than others. All I was saying is that you can do some nightfalls even if you aren't max level.

Not everyone can be max level two weeks after the game comes out. Some of us have lives and responsibilities outside of Destiny

I'm almost scarred to ask about the comment of..."Good luck with that this week" in reference to Nightfall.

I don't care for the Crucible much at all though I did do the Iron Banner everytime it came around. I actually felt I did haf-good in it but that was because about any and everyone was in it. The Clan Rewards have been the most help and I got a few today that bumped me to 272.

But what is the deal with some items saying it's to low to infuse...say I'll have a 265 I want to put a 270 in. But I can put a 273 in a 270? And i have about four of those +5 Mods put most of the stuff I have I cannot even put those in....and the Mods are one time use correct?

And did most of ya'll do the Quest Lines for the weapons all right away, little by little or what?

Hey all,

I'm sitting at 262 with my hunter including a 270 primary weapon. Is this good enough for the Nightfall this week? If so, I may jump into a Dagger chat one night and ask for some help.
I have Merciless too but that seems to be a raid requirement.

If that isn't enough, I'll keep plugging.

Sounds like the 270 might be a 265+5 mod. So it thinks you are trying to infuse a 265 and a 265.

let's just say we ran it twice with 3x 290+ players (with a couple being 300+ or close to it) and we failed in both attempts

can it be done? of course ..... at 262? .... you're probably going to want to keep plugging away and skip this week

The boss in the Nightfall this week also will have a tendency to disappear for 10-15 seconds at a time, which will hurt when you are running out of time.
