@ mewmartigan - what chess said is very true - this is the tried and true way to raise the vanguard. Public events and then bounties every day. If you can get into the weeklies work on that. The Strike playlist and the dailys are ok but they are not really as efficient for time spent vs reward. Once you hit 27 hit some of us up when you see us online and we can help you through the Nightfall or the level 30 weekly. Once you can do the Nightfall that becomes the first thing to do every week after the reset since it will give and xp boost for everything else until the reset.

Yeah, didn't think about how close HoW is. Definitely stock up on Vanguard marks and completed bounties as I described and then dump them on gear when HoW drops.

Or not. If upgrading legendary armor works the way I understand it to work, it's all upgradable, and getting that armor now would allow you a couple weeks' worth of raids and potentially net you some VoG or CE armor.

I've actually been thinking about maybe stocking up some bounties and marks myself. Haven't touched the game in months, since I got my third Hunger of Crota.

Thanks for the tips guys. I will have to check my Vanguard rank. It must be around 1 at least because I did play the game a lot in the beginning and did the bounties/public events, etc.

I'll stockpile and wait for HoW in 2 weeks.

Rainbow burn on Ishtar! Ice and I can blaze through all three runs in an hour and leave empty handed. Oh wait, I forgot.......



I'll get that thing next week and with my luck there will be a rainbow burn vanguard launcher with tracking and wp rounds rendering the Ghorn useless.

I had that feeling a couple weeks back. I did the dailies two days straight because I had bounties for them. Hell, I did patrol missions last week for the first time in months.

Yeah Let's knock it out tonight. In other news thanks for the Hard run on VoG. Sorry for the rough ending. I think we had some rust to shake off and we owe Atheon a major curbstomping.

Good news is I was able to pick up the raid Boots and Gauntlets So my Warlock now has a complete set of Raid Armor. I also got another Praedyth's Timepiece and another Found Verdict along with Shards and energy.

If anyone is up for it I wouldn't mind running a third VOG from the Oracles tonight with my Hunter. I have zero VOG armor for him and would like to see if I can get some to drop. I'll bring the lunch meat if you guys bring the couch.

Well I started the somewhat painful process of making room in my vault by scrapping my excess weapons.

I started with my incomplete duplicates of Crota weapons I had lying around. Basically my 3rd Fusion, Scout, Pulse and auto rifle which I never maxed.

Other than an Eidelon Ally I'm hanging onto, all my remaining weapons are fully maxed out (not counting my vault weapons of course).

The next step will be to scrap my maxed weapons I don't need.

I am flush with weapon parts for the first time. I have 400! Amazing.

So now that everything can be upgraded to 365 once HOW drops, what is everyone keeping duplicates of? I have three Fatebringers and three Icebreakers. Other than those I'm thinking about breaking down all of my other duplicates for parts and shards.
