Yeah, I was going to say you could just pre-order since it's cross buy and try out both. I'm tempted since I have pretty decent PC hardware, but I have a MS hook up for the XBox One version

I can say this... it definitely won't be performing as awful as Gears of War Ultimate Edition on the PC does.

I mean... that was the plan with Games for Windows Live and we all know how that worked out...
But I'm optimistic. New management and all that...

Jim Sterling accidentally posted his review early, then promptly pulled it. I didn't get a chance to read it, but his score was 8.5/10, if numbers matter to you.

Sounds decent. If it had a $10 Best Buy RZC, I'd likely pick it up at launch. Without, I'll keep working through my backlog and wait for it to be cheap later in the year.

Seems about what I would expect from a Remedy game - interesting story, stylish look and unique game play mechanics on top of otherwise fairly standard game play. All their games to me have been fun albeit not amazing. Still looking forward to this!

I'm good with that, I'm finding that I get bored fast with games that are met with universal praise. I can't really explain why but they tend to be a little too polished.

85 from Polygon & Game Informer, 80 from IGN, and a 2/5 from Giant Bomb (little surprised by that)
Still, a 78 on metacritic isn't bad. I think I'm going to wait for a price drop though. I ended up picking up Alan Wake when it was around $25 - $30 and really enjoyed it.
It sounds like there are 5 chapters in the game and four 25 minute videos in between those chapters.

I never like Giant Bomb and Gerstmann, so with them being one of the few outliers i'm still looking forward to this. Going to be travelling for work next week so probably won't get to play for a little while.

Giant Bomb and Polygon go the click bait route way to often for me to put any stock into their opinions. Sounds like this will be a great buy around the $25-30 mark.

I just started 1.3 before I got pulled away. My impressions are that I'm too old and busy to play these games. I just want the story!

Well... I was going to play it but upon launching my digital copy, I was prompted to install a 45GB update.
So yeah, I'm not playing it tonight.

Don't forget to install the optional 75.61 GB "Episode Pack" from the game's Download menu. That puts it at a cool 121.3 GB total.

For the first time in ages, I was denied a game I wanted at launch by GameFly despite playing it perfect with my previous game return. Looks like it'll be a while before I play this. No great loss I suppose, but I do look forward to checking it out eventually.
BTW : Dan, what is your new avatar? Can't figure it out.

After reading some reviews and comments, I've decided to hold off on this one until after Dark Souls 3.

I came across a video on YouTube explaining the number of regular polytopes in multiple dimensions. It maxes out at 3 as you get into the 5th, 6th, 7th, etc. dimensions. Riveting stuff. Anyway, after watching that, I saw that they had another video explaining how the largest known prime number was discovered this year (in January). 2^74207281-1 (also called M74207281) is that number. My avatar is a screencap from that video, of a booklet where they printed out the number. It has 22,338,618 digits. A text file containing the complete number is available. The last digit is 1.

On a totally unrelated note, so how are you fitting in down in Texas so far?

Yeah, after I posted that, I finished Junction 1 and got to watch Episode 1 while my "optional" download was only at 6%. I have no idea what that package is then.
