Well that sinks it. Absolutely no reason to pick up a Xbox one this year. It's looking like there 2015 will have less exclusives than last year which was pretty weak.

These gaming delays don't bother me because it means less of a chance these games end up like Assassin's Creed: Unity.

Unless you like Tomb Raider, Halo, countless smaller/indie games, or further exclusives yet to be revealed at E3.

The August 2014 previews still had the original dude. Shawn Ashmore was announced that November, although it's unclear how long he was attached before that.

Doesn't change the fact that the character model has been totally changed.

I mean, it was obviously a stand-in model that they were using to show off the game before Ashmore did his capture work. Seems like a pretty clear series of events.

I mean, it's obviously recasting. Seems like a pretty clear series of events.
Really, though, Remedy sez that the original models were indeed a placeholder:

Anyway, as for the "old" Jack Joyce, that's actually a different character in the game (I won't talk about him yet), played by Sean Durrie, who's 100% awesome.
Yep, it can be a little tricky sometimes when you have to release material, but don't actually have all the character models completed yet. Now that we're much closer to the game being finished, Shawn's in there. Just roll with it. =)

I mean, the new trend is to have familiar faces in games, and since this game has a live-action component to it, they obviously needed the character model to match a real human being who can act. Seems like a pretty clear series of events.

I mean, who gives a shit? A modern game isn't a final until it's released received it's Day 1 patches been updated to a playable state after launch.

I'm tempted to get the digital version so I can have it on PC too, but if its via the Windows Store i'll probably forget that I even own it given I've only accessed the store a handful of times, most of it by accident. That and I don't think any of the retailer deals discount those digital codes.

Also, Gamestop has a limited time trade-in offer. $200 for your current Xbox One or PS4. I'm not sure if you can put that credit towards the console pre-order, but it would mean being console-less for another month and a half.
I'm super tempted to bring my Xbox One in; the fan is loud as shit when I play games, and I'm sick of it. I've been playing my PS4 lately, so I wouldn't technically 'miss' my XO. Hmmm.....
