Just wrapped this one up. It's a shame that it got lost in the shuffle because narrative wise it's probably the most interesting story since ACII. That being said the world is incredibly small with a late 1700's New York City being that largest area. Size wise it's comparable to Jamaica from Black Flag but you only have missions in about a third of it. It also has the worst chase mission in AC history. Literally, it makes the ending sequence in AC III feel like fun.

I'm liking this a lot. I loved 3 and Black Flag so a mix of both is awesome in my book. The story so far is great (Started sequence 3) The end of sequence 2 was epic. I also like doing the side stuff but for some reason the ship combat seems pointless since you can easily get resources in other ways.
On the subject of the Stalking mechanic; They really wasted a great online integration with stalking. How cool would it be if real players were stalking you? I guess it'd be similar to the Dark Souls invasion? Maybe they'll implement something like this for Victory?

A remastered Rogue is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on March 20th. 1080p on the base consoles and 4K on the Pro / X.

Was this game any good? I really enjoyed Black Flag, Origins and Syndicate.

It was very good imho. Storywise (FWIW) it's probable the strongest AC game. I'm not sure I'd play a remaster but if you haven't given it a try and it's budget priced it's probably worth your time. It basically feels like Black Flag DLC.

I bought this on PC a long time ago but never got around to playing it. After just finishing (and absolutely loving) Origins, I don't know if I want to go backwards to one of the earlier AC games, though.
