Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)
Yeah RE0 is a must. And for RE2, I hope that it's a remake and not a HD of the PS version. The remake should have been done years ago.

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)
Zero was fun and is the next logical choice for a remaster, since it was built off of the REbirth engine.
I hope to see a true remake of 2/3 someday - no more ports Capcom! |
Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)
Does the unlimited launcher ammo item box glitch still work on the remaster?

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)
The director of RE2 also stated on twitter that a remake would be out in 2016. I heard the Revelations 2 team will move onto it when they are done.

I've said it before but I really think they could remake 2/3 into one really big cool game.
RE2 has two campaigns (Leon A/Claire B and Claire A/Leon B). Claire A/Leon B is the canon path, so they could drop the other non-canon path and replace it with the Jill campaign from RE3. That would actually be quite interesting, kind of like how they did the three intersecting campaigns in RE6. Although RE6 sucked, the way they did the intersecting campaigns was really cool, and I could see that working with Claire, Leon, and Jill. Also, if they do remake RE2 and/or RE3, I hope they keep it in the REbirth engine. I don't want it to become a third person shooter like RE 4, 5, and 6. |

Resident Evil Zero remaster coming in early 2016.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/05/...1bb05e3100000f I wasn't a particularly big fan of RE0. I thought the main villain was just goofy and completely out of place in a horror story. I will buy it anyway though because I pray that Capcom will finally remake RE2 and 3 in this engine if this sells well. |

I only made it about half way through Zero. I can't remember exactly why I quit (maybe GTA Vice City?). So I'll definitely check it out.

How well did that game lead up to RE Remake? Didn't play it back in the day cuz I thought it looked weak.

Resident Evil 0 HD Vid Shows Evolution From N64 Prototype to New-Gen Remake
Here’s an interesting vid showing off the evolution of Resident Evil 0 HD, from its first incarnation as a prototype all the way up to its upcoming HD remake. Give the vid a watch below. Although the original version of Resident Evil 0 launched on Gamecube in 2002, an N64 prototype was made for the Tokyo Game Show in 1999. The vid contrasts that footage with clips from the Gamecube version and the new remake for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Resident Evil 0 HD is out in early 2016. <iframe width="620" height="398" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gDZBRhjy_ME" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.xboxachievements.com/news...en-Remake.html |

Just start it already!
Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi revealed on the official Resident Evil Facebook page that he was presenting his ideas for a Resident Evil 2 project to the company. "Right after the [Resident Evil] HD Remaster project was finished, I actually started putting together my ideas for this 'RE2 Project,'" he said. "So, I just brushed it up and went to see my boss to present the basic concept of the project already." http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/07/...-evil-2-remake |

Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)
Hopefully, they remake RE2 using the same engine as the RE1 remake and RE0.
They previously remade RE2 and turned into a frigging lightgun shooter. They better not pull a crappy stunt like that again. They also better not turn it into a 3rd persion shooter like RE4-6. |

Wasn't that a fan project?
Someone did remake RE2 in the Unreal Engine 3. Video below showing that fan remake. However, RE1 and RE0 don't use the Unreal Engine. I believe the remake engine is called the REbirth Engine. The Unreal Engine is full 3D. REbirth (and the old PS1 era engine) are not full 3D. They have 3D character models, but the backgrounds are a static 2D image. That's why there is no camera control and somewhat clunky character movement in those games since the backgrounds are just 2D. Many PS1 era games "cheated" like that with 3D character models on top of 2D backgrounds since 2D requires a lot less computer power so it was less taxing on the console. The PS1 era Final Fantasy games did that as well. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/flBvR9zl1Zg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

RESIDENT EVIL 2 FAN REMAKE SHUT DOWN BY CAPCOM
now that Capcom is working on an official Resident Evil 2 remake, popular fan project Resident Evil 2 Reborn has been cancelled at Capcom's request. It might not be all bad news for creator Invader Games, though, who took to Facebook yesterday to announce that although they have to can their own remake, Capcom has invited them to meet on official terms. "We're honoured to announce that we've been officially invited to meet Capcom," wrote Invader Games. "Capcom called us up in advance of the announcement and asked us if we would mind stopping the project as they had longer term plans for a Resident Evil 2 Remake. They have invited us to a meeting to discuss further ideas." While it isn't clear whether the Invader Games team will be hired to work on the official Resident Evil 2 remake or not, the studio refers to the opportunity Capcom is presenting as "the biggest professional chance that we could get." We've reached out to Invader Games for more information. Invader Games also expressed happiness that their fan remake was among the community efforts that encouraged Capcom to consider taking on a Resident Evil 2 remake in the first place. http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/08/...paign=Blogroll |
Re: Resident Evil HD Remaster (360/PS3/PS4/XB1/PC)
The upcoming Resident Evil 0 remaster will be packaged with this year's remaster of the original Resident Evil in a physical collection shipping in January, Capcom announced. The Resident Evil Origins Collection will launch in early 2016 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will sell for $39.99. Resident Evil 0 will launch at the same time but be sold digitally for $19.99 on the same platforms. Capcom followed that announcement with news of the "all new Wesker Mode" in Resident Evil 0. The feature allows players to "experience the events leading up to the iconic mansion outbreak" by playing as Albert Wesker, the series' longtime uber-villain. You can see more of it below. |

A REMAKE!!!

WRAP YOUR HEAD AROUND THIS JILL VALENTINE COSPLAY FROM JILL VALENTINE ACTRESS When it comes to really nailing the look of any character, the devil is in the details. Julia Voth, the actress behind Resident Evil's Jill Valentine, has taken cosplay accuracy to a whole new level. Voth told us cosplaying as Jill is the number one request she gets from fans. "I think people have always felt connected to her, she's iconic, and there's a reason that after so many years she and the game live on," she said. rest of pictures http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/01/...paign=Blogroll |
