I wish it would be more like Dragon Age, with the size of the game and the more open-range locations, but with 3rd person shooting when running into enemies.

That's how the first Mass Effect was. And that's what it seems they are returning to (and expanding upon) in the 4th.

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
If you have EA Access the first three in the series are available and backward compatible in the vault.

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
The trailers and teasers I've seen just don't have me very interested yet, and Mass Effect was my favorite series for all of last generation and in recent memory :(

Looks good to me, gameplay looks like more Mass Effect. |
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
Official release date announced. March 21st in North America.
Taken from IGN BioWare has announced that Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch on March 21 in North America and March 23 internationally. In a blog post on the game’s official site, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn called Andromeda the “most ambitious Mass Effect game to date,” promising a “tremendous graphical jump” compared to the original trilogy thanks to using the Frostbite engine. Flynn explained that several members of the studio took home a copy of Andromeda over the holiday break to put the game through its paces and make sure it was ready for release. “Coming back from holiday, the feedback has been great,” he wrote. “Getting the endorsement from members of our studio, many of whom played key roles on the original trilogy, was definitely a key factor in helping us lock in on the date.” |
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
This is probably my most anticipated game of the year.
|
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
I still need to start 2 and 3

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
I finished ME1 in 2014, ME2 in 2015, and ME3 in 2016. Played through all of the DLC too. Part of me wants a break this year to hold off and wait for a GOTY with all of the DLC bundled, but depending on what the reception is I might jump in at release with everyone else now that I'm caught up.

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
i just got EA Access primarily to play the series, but it would probably take me years to finish these ginormous games...

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
Sweet. I wish I had 4K TV to take advantage of the improved graphics, but I'm buying it at launch. Already preordered the deluxe one.
|
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
Just pre-ordered this.

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
I love how EA puts ZERO effort in naming their editions.
"Super Deluxe Edition" It sounds like you're placing an order at McDonald's. http://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/B...0;maxWidth=642 |
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
I assume that "I'm A Sucker Who Likes To Pay EA $10 More To Get Exclusive Weapon Skins and Taunts Edition" was too long to fit on the box.

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
Don't get the two confused though.
The super duper McDonald's BBQ deluxe edition is $100 (and digital only for now it seems). The boring look at my dope gun deluxe edition is only $70. http://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/B...0;maxWidth=642http://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/B...0;maxWidth=642http://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/B...0;maxWidth=642 |
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
I also love the fact that the Collector's Edition that STARTS at $100 DOESN'T EVEN INCLUDE THE FUCKING GAME!
But it does come with a steelbook in case you decide at some point you would like to own the game. http://www.biowarestore.com/media/ca...otincluded.jpg |
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
Wow, that's some bullshit right there.
|
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
Actually it's pretty cool for people who would rather have the game digitally but still want all that stuff.
They could have a version with the game too, but you know how some people are. |
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
And, just to be clear : It's $99.99 for the Die Cast version -- i.e. Tonka Truck. The RC model pictured above is $199.99 (without the game).
|
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
Yeah, here is the $100 version. Looks the same, but no RC movement & no game.

re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
This is day one for me since Mass Effect was my favorite franchise all of last generation, but I'm not sure if I want to go retail or digital for it. I'm kind of leaning towards paying the extra for digital on Xbox.

We should probably change the name of the thread to Mass Effect Andromeda now :p The website also has a little video about the Pathfinder team that goes through character bios. https://www.masseffect.com/andromeda...inder-and-team |
re: Mass Effect: Andromeda - 3/21/17
For one of the biggest franchises of the last gen, I'm surprised this is only at two pages.
If the reviews are good this will be my next game. |
