The first Witcher game always made me laugh when a random villager would see you coming and shout, "Here comes the witcher! Hide the women!"
I miss the sex cards you collected whenever you had sex in that game. It was like Pokemon. Gotta collect 'em all! That was the best "minigame" in the series.

I thought those were also in the Witcher 3. Are they not? I seem to remember seeing something that looked like cheesecake art.

I haven't played Witcher 3 yet, so I don't know. (I never pay full price for games. I wait for sales.) The sex cards weren't in Witcher 2 though, so I assumed they probably weren't in Witcher 3 either.

Gwent is an actual card game like Magic The Gathering.
The sex card thing in the first Witcher wasn't an actual game. Whenever you would have sex with someone in that game, you would get a card that featured artwork of the person. It was pretty much completely pointless, but it was funny in a Pokemon "gotta collect them all" kinda way, but it did absolutely nothing.
Here is a link about the sex cards: (Warning: NSFW pictures in the link)

I just picked this up last night and starting the quest to kill the Griffin. I grab all kinds of plants and loot when I can. Is there a weight limit of what you can carry like in skyrim?

Yes. Weight limit. Plants don't take up much, but armor, weapons and animal hides do.

Last night I started on a quest (going into the tower, entering the portal and getting straight at a Golem), and forgot to check the level recommended. Only level 22 and it was advising level 30. Long drawn out battle against the level 30 Golem, but beat it and managed to then beat the s find one. Got the hell out when the level 30 werewolf turned up. Should always check the level. Managed to get a lot of excellent Gwent cards and practically never lose now.

With this being the conclusion of Geralt's story, I'm hearing that the next Witcher games will have Ciri as the central character. I say bring it on!

Yeah, no shit. So when I share the rumor that a certain character might be in the sequel, wouldn't you assume that person dying in your game would not be canon and them living would be canon?

Quite a bit - I was at around level 10 when I finished what you just finished, but then I never set foot into Novigrad nor did a single quest related to that city until well after that. So it's hard to gauge where you are exactly and what you've got left. But if you're progressing with quests like me, I'd say you've got quite a bit, and level 24 is way too high for the main quests you're at.

I am at level 24 right now and i did that quest a long time ago. I think you still have a way to go for the main story, and you must have been doing a hell of a lot of side quests. In fact i am surprised you have made it to level 24. A lot of the side quests give little in the way of Experience and its the main quest that seems to help level up faster.
I am just at the point where you go to the Isle of Mists. It gave a warning that at this point if you advance some side quests may be lost as a result, so i have held off on it. I want to check to see what side quests are affected, complete those first and then move on.
Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that they leveled up way too quickly and they meet no challenges in the game anymore. I disagree. Even though i can take on most things there is the occasional fight that gets rough or is damn tough even. I came across a guarded treasure on an island with a Griffin (i seem to recall) on it and it killed me in one hit. I have not ventured back until i get my character way up. Similar thing last night when on a quest you have to get 5 White wolf Hearts. i took on a pack of wolves thinking it would be no problem and they were all at a similar level to me. I beat them, but it took a bit of work and not the push off i expected.
It continues to be an awesome game, and its close to wrecking my marriage. The one thing i am wondering, is once i have completed all quests how much continued play value it will have. Skyrim had a lot because you had homes and seemed to have more of an actual life for your character, but with this it seems when its done.....its pretty much done.

I bought the game, and I am enjoying it so far, but I feel like I'm getting too distracted with menu stuff. I forget with games like this how often I spend going to the menus to look at my map, check my armor, getting rid of those damn asterisks when you pick up new items. It really takes me out of it.

Just realized that you can customize the PS4 touchpad to do whatever you want - like, swipe left for Aard, or swipe down for Axii, or touch right for Quen, or straight to whatever sub-menu - whatever you like. Take that XBone!
