Got this game on PS4 for my brother's birthday. I got him the standard edition from Amazon. He said it arrived with a soundtrack, hardcover comic and character guide. Sounds like Amazon shipped the wrong one for my $59.99.

I'll borrow it from him when he's done, haha. I have never played a Witcher game before but this looks good.

Yeah, the tiny menu text is a definite problem and I'm playing on a 50" TV. Have to lean forward to read some of it.

Didn't have an issue there either. At least not regarding text size. However, I do have issue with text location when you highlight a potion ingredient or crafting component. The name of the item is way at the bottom whilst the image of the item is towards the middle of the screen. I tend to stay looking blankly at the item, knowing how many of said item I need but no clue what it's called. The amount and name should have been side by side, directly below (or directly beside) the highlighted icon.

Nope. All that is part of the standard edition. That's just the way CD Projekt Red does things with this franchise. You get similar goodies with the standard edition of The Witcher 2.

The game is amazing to look at but really challenging to get used to how he moves and fights. It is a bit more slippery than I would like. Also, I think that article posted earlier in this thread is not nearly as accurate about how the game looks as it portrays in the article.

I have a 70" and I noticed it was small too. Is there a setting to change don't sizes?

This game is too damn addictive. I delayed the griffin quest as much as possible just to drink in the atmosphere of the surrounding areas which led me to a few side quests. Not much has happened yet
Spoiler:
I found the arrival of Yennefer rather anti-climactic
but I am thoroughly engaged and love how this game feels like the books more than the previous two ever did.

Nope.

Hopefully they'll add something in a patch.

I spent about 2 hours playing it last night. Was not rushing in, just getting used to it. Did a few side quests and a little of the main quest. Really liking what i see so far. Few little hiccups, but sure the patch will sort those out. The fighting will take a little getting used to, but its just the same as most fighting games. After a while it becomes second nature. The graphics are real nice and i am liking the design and world they have created.

I can see why people say the text is small, and it is, but i can still read it fine. I am viewing it on a 65" TV.

When I inserted the disc it was taking forever to load. I got a disc read error. Took the disc out and reinserted. The game loaded fine but there was still a constant clicking sound the entire time spent playing. Should I just send it back to Amazon for a replacement?

Here is a good tip when playing. To go right to the map, press and hold menu button. Saves a step.

Awesome, great find! It was absolutely killing me that there wasn't a direct button like most games. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally opened the menu where you save or load a game because intuitively I thought that would take me to the map.

Is that the xb1 controls? What do you press for PS4?

I'm assuming it's whatever button that brings up the menu where you can select the map.

If you're playing on Xbone be careful of the save bug. Make sure to not use the resume feature when playing. Sometimes you won't be able to save and the game won't auto save.

I lost a good hour or so of progress thanks to this bullshit.

Apparently the only way around it is to quit the game completely after you're done.

Got to Velen tonight and white pixels all over the screen. Not had a chance to patch the game yet and hope it stops this happening again.

I still haven't encountered any graphical glitches. However, I did go through Yeneffer's portal after you first meet her. I got sent to the next room and then when I went back to the room where I spoke to here, her portal was summoned (sound effects and full animation) on the wall. I saved and reloaded and the portal was gone.

What platform you on?

I dunno. Lot's of legally blind gamers it seems. Kinda funny since I can't game without my contacts or glasses yet I don't understand the text size complaints.

I don't have the game yet, so I don't know how bad it is yet, but how big is your TV and how far from it do you sit? Even if you have a small TV, if you sit close to it, then text might appear larger than it does for someone with a large TV and sits far away.

I am playing it on the PS4. I played again for an hour this morning and the problem had gone. Hopefully stay that way.

Great game and getting better. Still a little lost on Gwent though.
