Re: Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
the whole no large city like the Marvel one sucks. my son loves just running around and playing with the various superheroes. he's not quite old enough to get the hang of constantly switching characters.

Re: Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
I picked this up at launch. But, I'll probably finish Mordor before I dive in. I really enjoyed Lego Marvel and Batman 2.

Re: Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
i should've been more clear. he can switch characters just fine. he's 5 btw. it's the switching of the different styles of characters (different batmans/robins/etc) so that he can solve puzzles. he's got he hang of some of it, just not all of it.
w/ the last marvel one, i just played through the entire thing. i opened up every character and let him go to town afterward. he likes the open aspect of it far more than he does the level aspect of it. as for constantly asking if they have enough "money", my son does that all the time. drives me batshit insane. he'll ask if he does, i tell him he does and then he'll be like "oh, ok. i'll just save it for later." |

^^ If true, Day 1. I'm not big into the Lego games (my kids are though)... but that title has me intrigued.

Re: Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
I will say, this game seems a lot bigger than previous games. Once you beat the game, it opens up all the Lantern worlds, that have a ton of stuff to collect and find. I still would've liked an open world game like Marvel, though. Much easier for my kid to pick up and play that than it is segmented worlds.

Re: Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
I hit 100% in just under 40 hours and I'm very methodical in playing these LEGO games with the utmost efficiency. So I agree that this game is longer than most even without the big open world.
I haven't even touched the DLC yet. LEGO Movie, on the other hand, took 18 hours. |
