Holy shit, this is the first time I really played around in Halo Waypoint, and I had no idea that they keep track of your progress though the other games. That's really cool. I also didn't know that I played over 1,000 multiplayer matches in Halo 2.

Haha, and there are 7 people here. You get a bag, mask, poster, and art book. I don't think the art book is the full version (at least I hope not) because it is kinda thin. Oh well, free is free.

Played some multi last night, and had no connection problems or anything that plagued Master Chief Collection.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

Boo. It sounds like Best Buy is having some trouble emailing out preorder bonus codes. (Reading through Reddit and a couple other gaming forums, the only people I've heard from who've gotten a code had reached out to Best Buy support.) This is weird because I usually have my code emailed to me before I'm even out of the parking lot.

Edit! Took a couple of hours, but I just got it.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

With my last pre-order from Best Buy (Forza 6, I think), it took like a day for the pre-order bonus to get emailed to me. But it came. So don't worry if you have to wait until tomorrow.

Played level 1 of campaign and enjoyed it. Big team battles on multi were fun. The burn cards are an interesting addition. I was getting my ass kicked in one of the big battles and called in a Ghost to help out. So far, so good.

I played through the first two missions last night as well. The game looks so good and the frame rate is silky smooth. I'm playing on heroic and it can get really tough at times since your AI teammates don't seem to be on the same playing field as the AI enemies. I probably won't touch the multiplayer until this weekend.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

I'm through mission 14 of the campaign now. I'd say I've logged 7 hours so far on Normal difficulty. I've spent some time looking around for collectibles, so I'm not really trying to rush through. But on some maps I have been skipping some of the battles when I find shortcuts. I like the new "dash" air/ground attack. The diversity of the environments is great. Good mix of indoor and some really great outdoor. I especially like the rocky/desert levels. So, far I have not had any technical issues (lockups or graphical glitches, fingers crossed). I haven't touched the multiplayer yet.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

My nephew, friend and I started the campaign (our first for all 3) last night on LEGENDARY. We're at mission 4. Fuck it's some hard shit especially end of levels are , but we're having fun

Been trying multiplayer since launch and other than one time server down, which lasted like 5-10 minutes, it's been a great experience.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

Just picked this up this afternoon. Only had the chance to play two warzone matches but I can see myself playing that mode constantly.

I also was able to score an elite controller even though they are almost impossible to find right now. $150 is steep, but with the amount of FPS games I play I figured I'd treat myself.

Extremely nice, but for $150 it better be.

I'm just using two lower paddles right now. One is assigned to jump and the other to dash. I'm also using the longer R stick. It has a nice weight to it compared to the standard controller.

True. From the prices you lucked out @ $150.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

I finished the campaign last night. It was 15 missions and took me about 8 hrs on Normal. I watched all the cut scenes but didn't hunt around too much for collectibles.

Warzone was pretty cool. I only played a few rounds. Not sure if I like the Req card system or not yet.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

I did the same but on Easy. I enjoyed it, but there were at least 3 cut scenes where I thought "wow, that would be really fun to play".

Probably will do another easy run to pick up collectibles, then on to Normal.

Haven't played much MP at all, but everything I've read makes it sound great.
