Now that is by far the dumbest thing I have seen on a CE.

That's only a benefit if they sell you the Collector's Edition at least a day before the standard edition, which I doubt. It's very weird (unless they just made a mistake and it's just digital content on the card instead of the game as labeled).

I read that it'll be released early, but I'm skeptical that stores and customers (if this is sold in places like Target) will really understand that: here's a CE a week early, but you can't play it until actual release next week. Somehow I doubt that's a great plan.

It's still better than releasing a Halo game on the Xbox One but not having it fully playable for months after release.

I just did the same thing. Saving my $32 to put towards my MGS5 mechanical arm as well

Pic of the LE, not that it really matters at this point. Although, does anyone know what that Warzone REQ bundle is?

14 Premium Requisition packs. Some sort of microtransaction consumable.

Played about 15 minutes of this today at Comic-Con. Not much of a Halo guy, but didn't seem terribly impressive to me.

Played some of Mighty #9. Obviously a mega man successor. If you like mega man, you should love this.

HALO 5: GUARDIANS COLLECTOR'S EDITION DIGITAL CODES CAN BE TRADED FOR PHYSICAL COPIES

Although the Collectors Edition bundle includes a download code for the full game, it does not actually include a physical Halo 5: Guardians disc. However, those who prefer physical copies over digital will have the option to trade their codes for discs.

"Today, we’re able to confirm that for those who would like a physical disc, we’ll provide an option for fans to exchange their digital copy for a physical copy at no additional cost," says a post on the Halo Waypoint. "We’ll get into details as we get closer to launch, and we’d like to once again thank you for the feedback."

Best Buy is $48 w/ GCU and it comes with a $10 reward cert. There is also some pre-order gun thing through them.

MICROSOFT DETAILS HALO 5: GUARDIANS DISC EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Step 1: Don't redeem the code.

As detailed on the Xbox Support website, Microsoft has provided the following step-by-step process on how to swap your digital code for a retail disc:

1. Open the Contact Us page.

2. Select "Chat with Microsoft Support" to chat with a support agent.

3. Once you’re connected, inform them that you want to exchange your unredeemed digital code for Halo 5: Guardians for a physical disc.

4. You'll need to provide the agent with the following information: Your Xbox gamertag, your email address, the token's 25-character code, and your address for shipment.

After contacting Microsoft Support, it will take approximately 3 to 5 business days for the disc, as well as an accompanying code for the extra LCE content, to arrive.

In order to be eligible for the exchange, you must have already received your Limited Collector's Edition of Halo 5 and kept the code unredeemed. It's also worth noting the offer will only be valid from October 20 to November 1, 2015.

Halo 5: Guardians Goes Gold, Multiplayer Update Available Prior to Launch

Halo 5: Guardians has gone gold, Microsoft has announced. Development is complete, the final code’s done and discs are probably being printed as I type this. Halo 5 is almost here.

“This is the culmination of an incredible three-year journey for our team,” said 343 Industries Josh Holmes. “Together we set out to accomplish an ambitious vision and deliver a Halo game built from the ground up for the Xbox One. Now as we near the release of the game on October 27, we couldn’t be more excited to share the results with you, the fans.”

Holmes says that Halo 5: Guardians is “packed to the gills with loads of exciting content.” He added that a multiplayer content update will also be ready to go at release.

“We will have a multiplayer content update, prior to launch, that will supplement the online multiplayer goodness with map content for Arena Multiplayer and our all new massive-scale 12v12 Warzone Multiplayer,” said Holmes.

“Make sure you have the Power Setting for your Xbox One set to ‘Instant On’ so that you’ll automatically download the online multiplayer update prior to October 27th and be ready on launch day.”

Guess they had a lot of people bitching about buying an empty case for their limited edition.

I want this but since I really only do campaigns nowadays, I will wait until it gets cheaper. I am going to be balls deep in Fallout 4 just two weeks later. It's the first time for me to actually play a Fallout game when it comes out. Hopefully it isn't too buggy.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians (XB1, Fall 2015)

Well, here's hoping I can play the game right at 9PM on the 26th unlike the MCC last year.

I know 343i mentioned for those who digitally pre-ordered, preloading should be ready by the end of the week. I can't wait for another 60GB+ download.
