I played a little bit a few weeks ago and the thing that pissed me off was the money situation. The wallet size is just too damn small and as a result you have to keep going back and buying things. Money size should be unlimited. It seems only the Far Cry games limit how much money you can have.

? upgarding wallets is one of the easiest things to do in this game (meaning the amimals you hunt to upgarde are usually easy small ones) - you can craft a wallet that will hold up to a mil - I'm at the 100,000 one now and I find that it's plenty.

The fully upgraded wallet holds 2 million.

I'm at 30 hours with just over 76% completion. I could easily knock out the main storyline but prefer to do all the side missions/collectibles first.

I think my favorite thing to do in the game (besides stealthily taking out an outpost with the sniper rifle to thin the ranks, then sneak up and stab the rest) is to fly around in the buzzer and use the grenade launcher. Fun times.

I finished the main story after about 40 hours, kind of inadvertently so I still have some side missions to do, but this game was FANTASTIC. Talk about bang for your buck--definitely my favorite PS4 game so far.

Finished opening up all the towers last night by using the helicopter as another poster mentioned in this thread - wow, 8 towers withing damn near 10 minutes. The world is F'n huge though.

Took down a fortress and think it gave me like 4 XP points.

The Willis missions were awesome - I can't believe I'm almost done with the game though as well - have like 9 missions left.

Game is fantastic

Well, I accidentally beat this game on Saturday (it's said I had 2 missions left but I must have completed an exra one while on a current mission).

loved it. I chose to do "the abrupt" ending (don't worry, that's not a spoiler).

Also...and be warned - THIS IS A HUGE SPOILER:

Did you know about
Spoiler:
The secret ending in the beginning of the game? it's on you tube - I would post it but my job doesn't allow access to video sites. basically, in the beginning when Pagan Min tells you "Wait right here and I'll be right back" you wait for 15 minutes and he comes back and you are then walked through the ending of the game, then the credits roll - ha wtf?

Yeah it's widely known that you can "end the game" in under 30 minutes. It's been discussed here before.

I guess I got the "best" ending you could have because I
Spoiler:
let Pagan Min finish, he showed me the ashes of my sister, he "gave me" Kyratt, I picked up the journal. Then as he was flying off in the helicopter and waving goodbye, I whipped out my overpowered gun and shot it out of the sky. That felt good.

Spoiler:
You can find the crash site? Pagan will be there dead, you can collect his pen and all of his money (think he has like $250,000 on hime) - nice little touch

No. I did knot know that. And I completely missed the Reggie and Yoshi epilogue by saving and quitting after retuning to the homestead instead of going there next.

Ok, so this post is going to be one giant spoiler but it's definitely worth a read if you've already beat the game:

Spoiler:
So I chose the "quick" ending when I beat the game and that was that. Well after about 2 weeks or so I put this game back in and wanted to go back to visit pagan mins house to see if there was anything I can collect or explore - so I made my way up to the gate at the royal fortress (thankfully, the royal fortress has been abandoned so no fighting necessary) but I noticed the gate was sealed shut so I thought "damn ubisoft...just let me through" I had one C4 left, I put it on the gate and it worked!! I ran all they way to Pagan Min's house where I killed him the first time and.....he's still there laying dead on the floor!! I collected his pen and lapel pin (each worth about 300,000) - now, I want to go back to take a picture of him to see if that will sell as well....you're even allowed out the back door where he leads you to in the other endings and you can even get into see lakshana (or whatever her name was) but nothing happens and your ajay character will not recognize her

Thanks for that. I haven't done anything since my game ended the same way, but now I totally want to.

What was the verdict on the season pass for this one? I picked up the Limited Edition on Black Friday for $15 (I think it comes with an extra mission or something), but have also noticed that Amazon occasionally has the Complete Edition for $30. Didn't know if the extra content was really worth the extra $15 or not.

Here is what's in the Season Pass.....

http://blog.ubi.com/far-cry-4-season-pass-details/

I never did do Overrun (PvP) or touch the Valley of the Yetis. This game has a ton of stuff to do and with a friend it's even better. I just wish they made the co-op mode a bit more friendly. Both me and another friend did a lot in this and probably close to 78% done when we ventured off to other games. The Prison Break with a friend is really cool and the "Hurk" pack is a blast. Another one of those "I need to get back into" games which is probably why I didn't go hog wild on a buying binge on Black Friday with this and Bloodborne to still finish.

Re: Far Cry 4 -- November 18, 2014 - PC, PS3, 360, PS4, Xbox One

I have the SP. it isn't great. The Escape from Prison DLC is a very difficult timed permadeath version. Not much fun unless you're HARDCORE. The Valley of the Yeti is kind of interesting, but not all that different from the main game. It's supposed to be a lot harder and a different hunting experience without all your sooped up weapons, but the SP also gives you access to extra sooped up weapons (even in the DLC) making the Yetis easy to kill and totally negating the point of the DLC.

Man I picked up Far Cry 4 two weeks ago and it's by far the most fun I've had playing a game in years!!!

Was wondering if anyone finished with 100% completion? Have had the game about a month. I've put in a little over 50 hours and I'm at 75% complete. Going for 100% and by far for some reason the best time I've had playing a game since Eternal Darkness on the GC. It's a shame Primal hasn't received the same positive anticipation, from what I've read and watched it looks to be completely different .

Re: Far Cry 4 -- November 18, 2014 - PC, PS3, 360, PS4, Xbox One

Finished @ 31 Hours 67%

Awesome game overall, but there's just too much to do. By the time I got to the North, I stopped collecting stuff and doing side missions because I had like 20 skill points. All the skills I wanted to use them on where all locked due to lack of doing main story missions. So I just concentrated on the MAIN STORY [yellow] missions and was all skilled out by the end. Still this series just gets better and better.

Traveling merchants... need quick ammo after a gun fight, no problem or sell unwanted shit
Grappling hook... less walking trying to get to a high place
Elephants!... Fuck You Rhinos!
Buzzer... perfect for getting to the top of bell towers
Auto-Drive

Buzz Saw signature weapon... Holy Shit, it's game over for everyone on the Island.

Fucking RHINOS
too many weapons, especially Signature ones

Well this was my first foray into the Far Cry universe and I just finished the other day. 100% Completion in just under 57 hours. I want to say most fun I've had in a shooter since Borderlands 2.

Anyone on PS4 up for the two co-op trophies?

I believe I'm heading into the final mission in the game (one of the characters mentioned cleaning up stuff before moving on). I have one more fortress I still need to conquer, except it says I need to finish more missions or something to make it easier.

So my question is, will I be able to go back and try to conquer the fortress once I finish the game? Or will it be locked or unavailable or something once I finish the game?

I think they'll still be there... if I recall, you "complete" the game but can basically roam the land as is and do whatever.

Two us that got the game when it came out with the full intention of both SP and co-op...which disappointed us with it's limitations are thinking of getting back into this. I believe we have around 70% done though didn't do the "Yeti Mission"...

Does anyone know if the co-op part still has that PITA where only the host gets the credit for the mission and the other player basically gets nothing but weapon upgrade, etc....that's the part that just ticked us off.

And I cannot remember if the Arena Battles were co-op or you did that solo....I did like them but didn't do much focusing on the world and exploring it.

I was hungry for some Far Cry over the weekend, so I finally got a chance to check out the DLC. The Escape from Prison DLC was complete garbage and a complete waste. But The Valley of the Yeti was pretty good, but short. I finished at 85% in around 5 to 6 hrs. I liked the nightly base attacks and how you had to build up fortifications by completing side missions. Now that I'm finished, I'll probably check out Far Cry Primal at some point this year.

Is the Escape DLC anything like the short portion of the original game's prison escape? That area was kind of intense, at least in relation to the rest of the game. I haven't finished FC4 yet, and haven't started the DLC yet either.

It's a timed, perma-death version where you start in the prison and have to make it to the extraction point before the timer runs out. You start with no inventory. I've tried it a few times but never finished it. It is just hard-core challenge really. Doesn't add any real content. You could finish it in like ten minutes if you're really good and/or lucky.
