If I had to pick between the two, it'd be D2, but only because there's no way I'd have time for another Fallout game anytime soon. I really want both, though.

Sony has shown all of the other Arkham games IIRC, and has had exclusive content for a couple of them along with a Vita game. But what difference does the delay make other than console wars? They can still show whatever they planned to show, including whatever exclusive content they might have, and it's still a huge game.

Perception. Yesterday it would have been "Look at this great game that you'll be able to buy on our system in a few months!". Today it's "Yeah they just had to delay this a year, sorry about that... but doesn't it still look dope?!"

It's deflating. Sony didn't keep pimping Watch Dogs and #DRIVECLUB once they got delayed. It's hard to use things as a positive when so much disappointment just made the rounds less than a week earlier.

It might matter for somebody's internet list wars, but 4 million copies of Watch Dogs on 5 platforms (~2 million of which were PS4) say it really doesn't matter that much in the real world. And Watch Dogs isn't even a known commodity like Arkham.

They'll still show it, especially if they have exclusive content, and they'd be crazy to not show it.

So you don't think The Order, Quantum Break or Halo 5 will be shown at E3 because "deflation"?

Re: The Official 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo Thread

I think you're trying to make this out to be a console warrior fight. All I was saying is that it must suck for people planning whichever press conference was going to showcase Batman that 6 days beforehand it gets delayed.

And Quantum Break won't be at E3 because they said it won't be.

chess 06-03-14 12:59 PM

Re: The Official 2014 Electronic Entertainment Expo Thread

I agree that it's not objectively a "good" thing, but it's not a big deal either IMO as shown by Watch Dogs' sales and PS4's sales after the Watch Dogs (and Driveclub) delay. They just need to get the font right when changing a 4 to a 5 in the video. Delayed exclusives are IMO a much bigger problem than multiplats, and everybody's taking their lumps on that right now.

And I'm totally speculating that it's Sony based on prior games. Could've gone either way.

The PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system title was a global success with sales of more than four million units worldwide, contributing to the series' total of more than 28 million units to date. From devising the strategy to executing the attack, players will need to work together in order to hunt down ferocious beasts and progress through the wide range of quests on offer. Players will be rewarded for their use of deep fighting combat systems, encouraging them to seek out the more experienced hunters and team up in order to learn from their expertise. Several features have been added for the new version including: higher HD resolution graphics, touch screen optimized controls, target camera options, support for MFi controllers and seamless co-op multiplayer quests via Wi-Fi connection for up to four hunters.

Ultra Street Fighter IV (PlayStation(R)3, Xbox 360 and PC):

In Ultra Street Fighter IV, Poison, Hugo, Elena, Rolento and Decapre join the fight, complete with new animations and their own unique play styles, bringing the final roster count to a massive 44 characters. Six new battle environments (including Pitstop 109, Cosmic Elevator, Half Pipe and more) provide a thrilling and colourful backdrop to the action. Direct fan feedback was gathered on all of the original 39 characters from Super Street Fighter(R) IV: Arcade Edition and its core system mechanics in order to achieve the most balanced Street Fighter ever. In addition to the action-packed new content and the finely-tuned rebalanced gameplay, the new version features a host of new features and modes that are sure to test even the most well-travelled world warrior.
