With Xbox One being noted in both the Instagram teaser from earlier today and in the reveal today, it looks like the rumor of "PS3 and PS4 being the lead platform for Call of Duty" was bullshit.

Gotcha. When I see Lead I immediately think "system it was designed for originally", like those old CoDs which were built for the 360 then ported up to PC and over to PS3.

I hope they're just doing this for high end PC and porting it down to both.

Unlike COD2 to Ghosts, Sledgehammer is building this specifically for PC, PS4, and XO. High Moon Studios are going to porting Sledgehammer's efforts over to the PS3 and 360. If Activision gives the okay for a Wii U version, Treyarch will be involved with that. All details should be out by Sunday.

I would not be surprised if they're still using the same modded Quake 3 engine that all past games have utilized.

I would really like to see a Vietnam game. Not many games covered that war and I think we're at a point in the medium where a serious and dark story set there would make a great game.

Yeah that or another older war are about the only things that would get me interested in the series again. I'm sick of the modern day war stuff. Granted they've already covered a lot of World War II and whatnot but I dunno. To me the last good entry was Call of Duty: Black Ops. I liked the story of that one and Vietnam wasn't a bad setting.
